During my advanced training at the Truffle Network, I ate and stayed overnight at the family-run Hotel La Genzianella. Hostess Cristiana is the soul of the place—with her heart and soul, she makes you feel immediately welcome. The food is fantastic, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

A great atmosphere...exquisite food... Great attention to detail. Very friendly staff...especially Mrs. Cristiana, who is very knowledgeable. She carries out her work with great passion and professionalism. My wife and I had a great time and would highly recommend it.

On the occasion of lunch for First Communion I really appreciated this restaurant for the original, fresh and delicious dishes served by friendly and professional staff, clean rustic environment with many curiosities inside, wide choice of wines, even fine ones.

We had Easter Monday lunch with a tasting menu. Everything was excellent, the place was very welcoming and quiet. A very pleasant relaxing day. Also to be returned in another season.

Siamo tornati in questo ristorante perché 10 anni fa ci siamo trovati molto bene, però abbiamo notato che i prezzi sono elevati. I piatti erano quasi tutti buoni, le porzioni dei primi e dei secondi non molto abbondanti. Per gli antipasti vanno bene gli assaggi, ma per i primi e i secondi non erano piatti ricchi. Il menù fisso ci sembra un po' troppo caro a 55 euro. Cibo buono, ma prezzo un po' elevato. Forse è cambiata la gestione?

Buon ristorante, tra i migliori della non facile Val Curone, gente educata che si prodiga per mettere il cliente a proprio agio. Menù della tradizione completo, rivisitato negli antipasti multi-assaggi gourmet secondo un prevalente filone di mercato del momento. Qualcosa da dire sui formaggi che non dovrebbero essere miscelati tra varie zone d'Italia ma per coerenza uniformi su base montanara o piemontese e poi abbinate ai 4 mieli e non un solo....ma si tratta di dettagli da migliorare. Ed è questa la sensazione: esistono buone prospettive di crescita ulteriore, serve qualche miglioramento sia generale che specifico gastronomico e poi si arriva in alto (oggi il pubblico consumatore chiede concretezza, qualità reale e percepibile e non le effimere complicatezze fino a sè stesse che hanno poi segnato la grande crisi dei tanti ristoranti stellati ma non concreti....Osterie di lusso che poi vedranno lo stesso cliente medio-alto). Buona l'offerta dei vini del territorio e piemontesi.

15/08/2025: I had the pleasure of staying at this splendid inn nestled in pristine nature. The peace here is unique: even while lounging by the pool, you might spot wild rabbits scurrying around, reminding you that you're staying in an authentic and special place. The service is impeccable: the staff are extremely kind, helpful, and attentive to your every need, making you feel pampered without ever being intrusive. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit: all the tables are outdoors, perfect for enjoying the fresh air and the view, and the dishes are rich, carefully prepared, and made with quality ingredients. A place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking relaxation, nature, and a genuine welcome. I'll definitely be back!
10/08/2025: I'll talk about the restaurant since I wasn't a guest at the hotel. The place is always wonderful and welcoming, with a relaxing and peaceful view of the Gavi hills. I appreciated the choice of dining on the outdoor veranda, with a round table that I always find comfortable and elegant. The service was excellent, prompt and professional. The welcome entree was pleasant and always well received. The appetizers weren't overly bold, but tasted good and delicate, but the fried zucchini flowers were lacking something. My wife was disappointed with her marinated trout; perhaps her expectations were too high. I found the risotto with peppers, shrimp, and olives delicious and surprisingly generous. I finished the meal with a tasting of local cheeses, which I know very well and always appreciate. They excel at pairing flowers and mixed greens with the usual jams and honey. I would have greatly appreciated a little more attention to the wine pairings, although the sommelier seemed attentive and knowledgeable. The desserts ordered by other diners didn't seem up to par, even according to their own comments. Overall, a good dinner, but not exceptional. The lightness and use of almost all local ingredients were certainly appreciated. Final cost €340 (4 people and 2 bottles of wine)
