The pizzas were good, but I didn't like the lasagna as much; I found it rather ordinary. The service and waiters were professional and friendly, but it was very busy, so you felt a bit rushed to free up a table.

Without a doubt, the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to. We went three times, and the food and portions were spectacular.
Very affordable. Five stars definitely don't do it justice.

Authentic, homemade Italian food.
The options are plentiful and reasonably priced.
The food is well-cooked, and if I had to find a fault, I'd say the distance between tables should be a bit greater.
There are times when conversations with nearby people are overwhelming, which can be quite uncomfortable.

We stayed 3 days in Rome and we had 3 dinners at this restaurant. We loved it! It was a bit chaotic with the reservation/no reservation process, but if you wanna eat there in the weekend I do recommend having reservation. The food is amazing.

As soon as you enter, you're greeted, in the noblest sense of the word, by Paolo and his staff, always very polite and kind.
And from that moment on, you know you'll be pampered the entire time.
The buffet at the entrance is always full of delicacies, from cold cuts to fresh and aged cheeses, from grilled vegetables to seafood salads, baby octopus with arugula, or octopus carpaccio.
The Roman first courses are all worth trying, from carbonara to amatriciana, from pasta e fagioli, cacio e pepe, and lasagna to fettuccine with mussels and pecorino cheese or tagliolini with mussels and clams. On Thursdays, homemade gnocchi take center stage, and the place, always packed, falls into a silence that evokes the appreciating of flavors.
The main courses are also very good, from the eggplant parmigiana (amazing) to the roast suckling pig, not to mention the veal breast baked in the oven (amazing) or the tripe Roman-style (exceptional).
I've been going there at least two or three times a week for years now.
And I've never been disappointed.

There were two of us and we had dinner on Thursday, March 6th.
It's a pretty popular place, so you might have to wait a while.
The space inside and outside is pretty tight. The tables are too close together, for my taste, but the food is delicious.
We shared an Insalata Capriccio (quite filling) and for a second course a Melanzane alla parmeggiana (very good) and a Filetto ai ferri (super tender and well done) with side potatoes (small and good).
And to end the dinner, a dessert that we brought from a pastry shop in the city, Tortino nonna flora (very good and different).
"La famiglia" is a must try. The quality-price ratio is perfect.
You have to go there.
