La Famiglia In Roma

I chose to go here to for a late lunch because my hotel told me about it and mentioned that hotel guests would get a discount. I wasn't sure if they'd be open at 4pm for lunch but to my relief they were and I liked it so much that I went back the next day for lunch again! My waiter was absolutely lovely and very helpful with my questions on what to order. I was totally starving so I ordered a starter (a kind of seafood basket), half and half pasta for main (mushroom fettucine and carbonara rigatoni), of course tiramisu for dessert and to drink and tall glass of orange juice. I was stuffed to capacity and I didn't really enjoy the seafood basket, it was too stodgy rather than light and crispy and the flat bread (which was on the house) was very dry. Totally loved my pasta and dessert. My waiter recommended the mushroom fettucine and it was scrumptious. Half and half pasta is an extra charge so you end up paying more then the price of the full serving but it's worth if you want to try two different pastas in one serving. For lunch the next day I skipped the starter as I just wanted pasta (I also didn't have a lot of time as it was my last day in Roma before heading back to New Zealand). I ordered a half portion of the risotto and a half portion of the spaghetti carbonara. Absolutely delicious again. I ordered orange juice to drink with my meal. I'll be dining here again the next time I'm in Roma for sure!

Reservations recommended - without it we stand in queue. The staff are very professional, orders came very quickly. Nice environment, good food. Friendly prices:)

Restaurant near Rome station. It's quite cost-effective, and you can order a plate for as little as 10 euros. There is an all-you-can-eat menu, but it is limited to sweets and other items, so you basically order. The delivery time was quick and the taste was delicious.

Pizza not exceptional unlike Roman artichokes. Nothing to do even for the discount voucher I had received from the hostel.

It was my first meal in Rome and I had a great time thanks to the very friendly and attentive staff. It was nice to be able to drink house wine at a reasonable price of 6€ for half a bottle (500ml). The bruschetta was healthy and delicious with warm bread and fresh tomatoes. The Margherita pizza, fresh from the oven, was the best. The vongole was a little salty, but the seafood was fresh and the olive oil had a great scent. Even when paying the bill at the end, the owner was so friendly that I want to come back again.

We found the food mediocre. They do not charge any cover per person but charge a 12.5 % service charge. The owner/manager is nice.

Porzioni abbondanti e ben condite. Grande varietà di verdure grigliate. Parmigiana fantastica. Personale gentile e disponibile, nonostante il rapido turnover di clienti e spesso di gruppi molto numerosi. Unico neo la voce trovata sullo scontrino: "servizio 12 %" che ci sembra un po' eccessivo.
