It feels like being at home in the Alta Langa, in a country house where traditional Piedmontese cuisine is revisited with taste and lightness. It offers a meat menu, an unusual fish menu, and, in October, we also discovered the Truffle Menu. The potato and hazelnut gnocchi on a Castelmagno cream and the crispy egg on a Castelmagno base with truffle shavings are exquisite (€4.50 per gram). The seafood menu also offers a delicious brisée tartlet with calamari and scallops on a cream of zucchini. To finish, a Madernassa pear caramelized in red wine with cinnamon ice cream and a selection of complimentary pastries. The service is friendly and discreet, and the prices are reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients. Beautiful decor, complemented by vintage items that complement the ambiance, is also a highlight. Free parking is available.

We visited the Langhe in August 2025 and wanted to end our trip with the comfort of a true local trattoria. After some research, Trattoria La Coccinella stood out and it exceeded every expectation.
The moment we stepped inside we felt an immediate warmth and energy that’s hard to replicate. Rustic décor, soft lighting, and genuinely attentive staff set the perfect mood. A gracious host guided us through the wine list, and upon opening it, we all shared a glass together. It was a sweet moment!
Dinner was unforgettable: scallops with black truffles to start, seasonal wagyu as the main, and a simple tomato-and-lettuce salad they happily customized for me. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. We finished with a cheese plate and peach dessert that were pure perfection.
Along the way we learned the trattoria’s story: founded in 1998 by three brothers, Alessandro, Massimo, and Tiziano Dellaferrera, who divide the roles between kitchen and front of house while sourcing from local producers and curating an outstanding wine list. Despite being the only tourists that night, we felt completely at home.
The highlight came when Alessandro invited us into the kitchen to thank Chef Massimo personally—a gesture we’ll never forget.
Grazie to the Dellaferrera family for creating such a remarkable dining experience. A must-visit for anyone exploring the Langhe.

We had dinner at this trattoria: calling it that might be an understatement, but true trattorias are precisely that—places where home cooking lets you rediscover the authentic flavors of yesteryear. High-quality ingredients, tastefully revisited dishes, and impeccable presentation made our experience at Trattoria La Coccinella truly special. We'll definitely be back.
Praise also for the service: excellent, friendly, and with that touch of warmth that makes it a pleasure to chat, especially to hear their story and how it all began. Highly recommended!

A well-kept and welcoming restaurant, the staff (run by three brothers) is professional, friendly, and always available to accommodate guests' requests.
We chose the Terra tasting menu, and I was amazed by the deliciousness of the dishes. Traditional cuisine revisited with a modern and original twist. Each dish struck me with its balance of deliciousness and lightness, as well as the perfect portions, allowing us to finish (and we did) without ever feeling full.
A wonderful and delicious surprise in the Alta Langa, where the quality is always excellent and the attention to detail in the dishes is matched by seasonality, always offering fresh and authentic dishes.
