Beautiful location! Wonderful service and staff, La Chiusa in the village of Montefollonico is a gem. The restaurant is top notch, Chef Antonio is a master of taste and elegance. Delicious Tuscan flavors mixed with French flair.

Lovely and quiet location. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. More than decent room without carpet (fortunately!). The idea of placing tables with two chairs outside the door to admire the view is nice. Bathroom with shower (as I had requested), equipped with courtesy set.
The TV is missing.
High price.

Sometimes the five stars that are possible here are simply not enough. La Chiusa has a sensational location, surrounded by an olive grove, with a postcard view of Montepulciano. The rooms are rustically furnished, and the bathroom with whirlpool tub is particularly noteworthy. The restaurant offers a small but very fine selection of dishes, all of which are of a high standard. The service (thanks, Laureen) is very well trained and extremely friendly. The breakfast buffet offers a sufficient selection. The friendliness of the entire staff is particularly noteworthy. And as I mentioned at the beginning: If everything is just right, then five stars are not enough. We will definitely be back.

Had a great experience in 2022 but then a terrible experience in 2023. Owner was rude to several in our party. Food had a marked drop off in quality and experience was in a word less than ideal. It was all inclusive and more expensive than the year before instead of ala carte and somehow got less of everything, food, service, and quality. It’s disappointing as we most likely will not return.

La Chiusa was magnificent. Gorgeously restored historical property nestled in their own olive grove in the heart of Val d'Orcio in
Tuscany , caring attentive staff, and a young chef creating absolutely delicious new takes on traditional Tuscan classics. We walked around the grounds, did some stargazing, and enjoyed the personal attention and the cooking class. 12/10, 3 thumbs up, 6 stars. Can't recommend it highly enough. We cannot wait to go back.

Meraviglioso.
Esperienza davvero meravigliosa!
