La Cantinola In Roma

We stayed right across the street and the receptionist recommended it to us. Excellent service! We had dinner there twice, everything was very good. Incredible risotto!!!

Went here on the recommendation of our hotel. Staff was very friendly. Food was ok. We had linguine vongole, fettuccine bolognese and spaghetti alla mare (I forgot what it was called - was tomato based with seafood). Pasta cooked well - good for the price but there are many other similar options in the area. The first two dishes were the best. I am a fan of vongole and would absolutely eat this again.

Pleasant setting but very average welcome with expeditious service. The plates are removed as soon as the last bite is swallowed. Decent dishes but not much flavor. Fair price. Much better elsewhere.

The seafood risotto was very good! We wife and I also enjoyed the wine and the atmosphere inside the restaurant. Just be aware that the bread they leave at your table and water is not free. They also charged a $3 service fee for a person. All fees and extras added up at the end.

It was recommended in a travel magazine, so I made a reservation online in advance. The food, service, atmosphere, and staff were all great. Since we were small eaters, we shared the soup, one serving of pasta each, and finally took home the tiramisu. The soup was lightly seasoned, and for those of us who had eaten many strongly seasoned meals during our trip, we felt like we could finally take a break. I could feel the flavor of the beef in the soup, and I felt that the powdered cheese that was sprinkled on it after it was served at the table brought out the flavor even more. The pasta in the soup was also chewy and delicious. Also, for the pasta, I ordered carbonara and my partner ordered cantinola (the restaurant's name). Both were really delicious. I think most restaurants in Rome tend to think that carbonara is relatively salty, but this carbonara had just the right amount of saltiness. I think Japanese people find it very easy to eat. It was my first time eating Italian carbonara and it was so delicious that I was glad I had it here. Also, the cantinola that my partner was eating was very delicious and had a great seafood flavor. It was seafood in tomato cream and sprinkled with caviar. I think the clam pasta is probably the most popular, but I would definitely recommend this as well. I actually wanted to eat the tiramisu at the restaurant, but since I was full, I decided to have some time to eat it in my room, so I decided to take it out. I was glad that you were able to respond so easily. It's comparatively more spongy than creamy, so I think people like me who like to eat something light will really like it. The sponge was also soaked with espresso and had an irresistible ``soozy'' texture. However, the portions are quite large, so if you are a small eater, I think it would be a good idea to share. My one regret is that even though I had a great time, I forgot to tip. This is a restaurant with great taste, cost performance, and atmosphere. If I have the chance to come to Rome again, I would like to definitely stop by and recommend it with confidence.

Wonderful service, we were staying at the Gambrinus and came here several times. The food and service is excellent, 5/5 a sure recommendation for any tourist visiting Rome.

Nous avons trouvé ce que nous venions chercher après une dure journée à arpenter la ville de Rome. Une cuisine locale, rapide, goûteuse et avec un bon rapport qualité / prix. L’accueil est chaleureux et bienveillant, souriant. Bienvenu en Italie. Les plats : Fritto mixto, aperito avec fruits de mer , spaghetti carbonara et à la vongole. La salle n’est pas comblé mais avec des locaux. Bon signe, nous avons très bien mangé.
