La Cantinetta In Barolo

If rustic quality is what you are after, and a deviation from pasta etc, this restaurant meets the requirements. We were first there on a Monday night (when many restaurants are closed) and promptly seated, thinking we would be the lone diners for the evening. We were wrong. Within half an hour the place was full. And the food, service (thanks Giancarlo) and prices did not disappoint. We shared the risotto special, which was made with Bra sausage, and it was superb- great taste and very filling despite being shared. For the main meal we ordered the lamb cutlets with lentils and the wild boar. Seriously, the flavours were incredible, both served with mash and peas. Great comfort food which was much needed after 6 weeks away from home! Wine options were also solid, including half bottles for some varieties. If you are craving home style cooking in Barolo, this is the place.

A place where the excellence of the territory is expressed to the maximum. I had the pleasure of tasting delicious wild boar morsels in Barbera, accompanied by an extraordinary Barolo from the Langhe. The quality of the food and wine is simply exceptional. The qualified and incredibly knowledgeable staff is always ready to offer professional advice that elevates the experience. I will definitely be back! If it were possible to give more than five stars, I would do so without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Exceptional Barolo braised meat! Friendly staff both in service and in recommending dishes. All excellent, worth it after a walk in the streets of Barolo. The egg paste is also very popular. The rabbit is also really good, tender.

We ate so well, great welcome, really lovely staff. A great discovery, we will come back with pleasure!

Abbiamo pranzato in bella giornata a Barolo Ma a dispetto del bel posto ,all aperto ,le attese non sono state ricambiate . Un servizio un po' approssimativo e lungo dovuto all affluenza che c era a Barolo . Primo tagliatelle agli ovuli , buone ma....mancava qualcosa , ravioli al plin , nella norma . Dolci nella norma , vino un nebbiolo al calice ...nella norma . Da giudicare in un giorno meno affollato .

Menù della tradizione piemontese. Tutto ottimo sia cibo che il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ci è stato anche offerto un assaggio di crostino e l'amaro. Personale professionale e cortese.
