Traditional recipes prepared with a precise hand, flavors present but never overpowering. Bologna, Emilia. Typical dishes from memories, simple but never predictable. The chef seems to hide, but he's recognizable in his rigor, not in his showiness: he lets the dishes speak for themselves, without unnecessary virtuosity. And then the pasta. A skilled pasta maker, who works the fresh pasta by hand as they once did. You can taste it: in the texture, in the bite, in that little bit of roughness that holds the sauce instead of repelling it. A sauce designed specifically to enhance it, not to cover it. The dish seems simple because it's executed so well. It's home cooking, but brought to a perfection that home cooking rarely achieves. Just as it should be. In a word: comfort food you never tire of.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our daughter's graduation, and we couldn't have made a better choice. We had a group dinner at an outdoor table at a farmhouse, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone was pleased with the dishes, especially the balanzoni and the cutlet Bolognese made my way. We had a bit of a wait at first, but it was worth it; we were truly scrumptious. For dessert, I discovered the yogurt mousse.

It was truly a delightful discovery! We went to lunch today at this truly delightful place on the recommendation of friends. Given the heat, we ate inside in a very cozy room. We celebrated my mom's birthday, and the lunch was truly excellent! Despite the African heat, my mom ordered tortellini, and they were truly delicious. As were the other dishes we tried. A special compliment goes to the kind and attentive owner, who made us feel right at home. The same goes for the staff who looked after us during lunch. Smart and attentive people. We couldn't have chosen a better location than the Cantina del Latte.

We went to Cantina del latte on Saturday for lunch (I recommend booking). The staff were friendly and professional, the location beautiful, and the food excellent.

On Sunday, April 19th, I celebrated my daughter's First Communion at La Cantina del Latte, and once again, the experience was truly excellent. I had already had the pleasure of celebrating my twins' Confirmation here the previous year, and I had a wonderful time there too. Both I and all the guests had a wonderful time, appreciating not only the splendid location surrounded by the greenery of the Centro al Gese, but also the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. A special thank you goes to Stefania for her kindness, availability, and professionalism, which made both days even more enjoyable and meticulously crafted. The food was truly excellent: carefully prepared, tasty, and beautifully presented, enjoyed by all the guests. Furthermore, as a vegetarian, I greatly appreciated the wide selection of vegetarian dishes, all well-prepared and flavorful. An absolutely positive experience that I highly recommend for events and special occasions.

We had lunch at Locanda del Latte during our stay in Bologna, and the experience was truly excellent. I chose an off-menu Florentine steak, and I must say it was one of the best decisions of the day: excellent quality meat, perfectly cooked, and truly intense flavor. To complete the dish, simply delicious potatoes, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My wife opted for a green salad accompanied by tagliatelle with meat sauce, both very good: fresh ingredients, authentic, and well-balanced flavors. The care taken in selecting the ingredients is clearly evident. Our son Filippo ordered the tortellini in brodo, and this is truly a superior experience: rich and flavorful broth, truly special tortellini, the kind that immediately make you know you're in the right place in Bologna. A welcoming atmosphere, friendly and attentive service without being intrusive. It exudes the feeling of an authentic trattoria where you eat well and feel at home. In short, a place we absolutely recommend, both for those who want to eat well-prepared traditional Bolognese dishes and for those looking for quality even off-menu. If we return to Bologna, it will definitely be a regular stop.
