I had the pleasure of having dinner in this place, in a location that follows the characteristic style of the city of Genoa. Special and alternative recipes, told in the moment with personality and passion, such as to make you want to order the entire menu. Quality ingredients, researched and chosen. Excellent service, helpful and courteous staff. I highly recommend for both couple and group dinners.

Found it as a destination for dinner while exploring the area around our accommodation. It was a real find too. The staff were very friendly and the food was top class - proper Italian food. They even had zabaione on the dessert menu.

Great meal. Made a reservation hoping to sit outside but all tables were taken when we arrived. So we were seated in the mostly empty dining room (see video). Menu is on a portable chalk board in both English and Italian. We split the anchovy salad which they helpfully split in the kitchen. The fish was tasty and not too strong and the vegetables tasted like they came straight from the garden. The filet with fondue and truffle was enormous and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive.

Popped in for a drink, but as it was aperitivo time we were brought many delicious snacks for free! Fantastic little establishment on a side street and would highly recommend due to their friendliness.

Ormai è il mio preferito nel centro di Genova 😌 il proprietario è fantastico e lo chef Dega fa piatti che, come nel mio caso gli spaghettoni all astice, creano dipendenza . Locale e servizio ottimi e ci tornerò anche tra pochi giorni … dipendenza da Dega ❤️

Hostaria Ducale

29/07/2024: Exceptional cuisine, exceptional service, an address not to be missed in Genova. A perfect food and wine pairing to discover this regional gastronomy.
29/07/2024: My family and I went on Saturday evening to have dinner at the "Hostaria Ducale" inn in Genoa (it was also our wedding anniversary). We were welcomed by the precious waitress Alessia who patiently and extremely kindly explained all the dishes to us. I must say that I have rarely had the opportunity to taste such good dishes. It was a fantastic experience both for the precious search for food and for the mise en place. The work team and the chef truly deserve three Michelin stars! The prescinseua and pink prawn ravioli, the gabilo with coconut (the Chef will excuse me for how I express myself::) the milk dessert and the passion fruit "lollipop" are simply DIVINE! I recommend it to those who don't just want to eat , but to those who want to ENJOY dishes that are true sensorial and gustatory EXPERIENCES. Thank you, really thank you, to the whole team and the Chef!
