We had dinner at Clandestine last night. Macda “Mac” served us in the private room, near the bagno. That was THE best culinary experience we’ve had in Italy our entire trip (Lake Como, Milan, mRome, Florence, Pisa, Sienna, San Gimignano, and Cinque Terra). Topped off with the most unique dessert I’ve had in Italy: pesche e mango 🥭!

The food was quite good, with quality ingredients. It was a shame the macaroni was overcooked and lacking in bite. But the rest was excellent. The dishes were all beautifully presented. The prices were a little too high for me. The location was lovely, but the dining room was noisy. The staff were friendly and attentive.

An intimate setting in the historic center, near a busy street, with attentive cuisine and service. Small tables outside, and cozy, elegant rooms inside. Local cuisine (minestrone, pesto, and fish, etc.) with an interesting wine selection. Recommended.

25/11/2025: A fantastic find! We just popped in for a drink. Four cocktails for €31. And what a surprise! A plate of pizza slices arrived, followed by lasagna, roast beef, and then a charcuterie board with doughnuts and other treats. The setting was splendid, and the waiters and waitresses were welcoming. And there were useful things in the restrooms: tampons and towels were readily available.
