While exploring Alba, we stumbled upon this osteria, which immediately struck us with its welcoming and refined atmosphere. The place, with a limited number of seats, guarantees fast and attentive service. The dishes are very good, especially the tajarin, while there's truly an extensive wine list. Highly recommended!

Calling it an "Osteria" is a gross understatement for such a wonderful establishment, tucked away in an alley, as the name suggests. I really shouldn't say too much about this place, because I want to be able to get a table there again in the future. The best thing to do: go in, enjoy it, and fall in love with it.

Osteria del Vicoletto is a historic landmark. Located on a quaint alley (Via Bertero) right in the heart of the historic center, it's the ideal place for those looking to escape the more touristy and "glossy" venues. The menu is a tribute to Piedmontese tradition, executed with extreme precision and respect for the ingredients. Don't expect flights of fancy or molecular cuisine: substance reigns supreme here. The wine list is serious. There's a deep selection of local producers (Barolo and Barbaresco first and foremost), with an excellent balance of big names and small local winemakers.

It's a shame to write this, but it's true. We went there as a last resort, as it was the one and only place in Alba that had a table for two available on a Sunday evening... and given how the evening went, it was a blessing in disguise!
A top food and wine experience! The wine cellar is exceptional, the ingredients are spectacular, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and competent.
Thank you for giving us the last table.

My partner and I went there on Friday evening.
What can I say? Everything was excellent.
From the location to the food to the service.
A dream wine list. 100 pages of tablets with an incredible selection of local wines.
I was especially struck by the great honesty in the wine prices; I was amazed by the wide variety at truly fair prices.
Everything else was also honest, and the service was very kind and attentive, truly pleasant. What can I say... highly recommended.
