After a stay in Greve in Chianti, we had to choose a restaurant for dinner, and reading the reviews we chose this family-run restaurant, the staff was very polite always asking us how things were going which is not obvious. The old-fashioned menu if things are not lined up and added to the pencil of the dishes available. FANTASTIC.
The food:
We had the Florentine tripe, crostini with livers, then peposo and pappardelle with wild boar.
The Florentine tripe was a dive into the past like when I went to my grandmother's on Sunday mornings, nice and juicy and if you don't mop it up with bread you're a beggar. The crostini were good, the peposo was the stuff to overwhelm you, the pepper took your mouth away as it should, the meat melted in your mouth. The pappardelle with wild boar were absurd, the wild boar was DI VI NO. Then to finish, cantuccio and vin santo and tiramisu. Expense? 110 euros with 35 euro wine, but oh for the experience that was it is to be done again and again.
I conclude by thanking all the staff. See you in the winter to come and eat the ribollita. A hug from Pisa

Well, I have been going to restaurants for more than 30 years for work and I have been going to Bottega del Moro for over 10 years and I have never taken the time to give it a review. Now I think the time has come: obviously we have known the owners for a long time as customers but the review is not sincerely biased, otherwise I would not continue to go there. Excellent quality as excellent is the impact that anyone can find with the two ladies (mother and daughter) who offer table service. Family management but truly family, the chef is the father, who cooks a menu with the right amount of offerings (which indicates Quality) of an excellent level. The choice of wines is also good. The cuisine is Tuscan: excellent black crostini and it is not a given, you find certain indecencies around ...., try the ragù dei medici and fabulous pork livers, the best I have eaten even compared to Arezzo which is their homeland. What more can I say in Greve I consider it the best from all points of view.

L’ambiente e’ avvolgente e affascinante.
I dettagli sono curatissimi, i colori fanno allegria, l’antico si sposa col rustico.
La cucina e’ semplicemente ghiotta: un’autentica esperienza toscana con antipasti primi e carni di qualità’ e veramente buoni.
Difficile trovare un po’ così autentico oggigiorno. Lo staff e’ disponibile gentile e si da’ molto da fare! Quasi esclusivamente a conduzione familiare. Una vera chicca in Greve!
