La Bottega del Borgo is a welcoming and elegant restaurant where you can enjoy truly delicious food. Traditional dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and impeccable presentation. The homemade pasta dishes and artisanal desserts are excellent. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasant. A place we'll definitely return to!

Probably our second favorite lunch spot in the entire country! Swung up here to explore a bit as soon as we got to Chianti and loved it! Parked right outside the town square, this spot has great outdoor seating in view of the church. We got the boar ragu and something else (can’t remember due to the wine) but you gotta try it out fellow Americans!

After a lovely tour of this ancient village in the province of Siena, we stopped for lunch in this small, quaint, rustic restaurant. We immediately felt warmly welcomed. Since we were a bit hesitant, the waiter recommended Chianti wines and typical Tuscan dishes. We were impressed by the flavors of the cured meats in the appetizer, the taste of the wild boar tagliatelle, and the succulent, tender beef cheek. We highly recommend trying this little restaurant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful place, excellent food, and a very kind and friendly owner! Delicious appetizers, delicious meat, and truly excellent pasta with fresh truffles!!! Overall, a highly recommended restaurant!!! I'll definitely be back!!!

We visited the Bottega del Borgo about a year ago and loved it. We went back today and really enjoyed it. The Bottega del Borgo has a lovely ambiance and only a few tables inside. There are also a few outside. The service is attentive and unobtrusive. The food was excellent, and we'll definitely be back! Mille Grazie!

Locanda Di Casal Mustia

11/06/2026: This very special place hosted our 50th wedding anniversary in May. Our guests stayed in their comfortable authentic rooms and the Locanda provided both wonderful tuscan food and drink multiple times over a 4 day celebratory period. Nothing was too much trouble The Maccari's are a wonderful welcoming family skilled in both culinary and customer service The locanda is spotlessly clean, provides exemplary service and welcomes guests from all over the world alongside locals. Their traditional tuscan fare is cooked to the highest standard. The stand out dishes for us are the burrato with anchovie topping, pici al ragu and the sliced beef with various accompaniments. The wines are wonderful You need not go further than the house red which is an excellent rosso di montalcino. We have just read negative reviews with incredulity. Nothing could be further from the truth as far as our experience from multiple visits to the Locanda in Castelmuzio.
20/05/2026: The food is excellent. I highly recommend it! The prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

05/07/2026: Let's start with the food: truly excellent. We ordered mixed platters and pizzas and were well-filled, to our delight. I personally tried the Totò pizza, aka Salsiccia e Friarielli, which for me is the hallmark of a quality pizzeria: it passed with flying colors. Then Daniele and I had fun all evening joking about the "blonde lady," who was definitely a picky customer! See you next time.
