Time constraints didn't allow us to dine at La Baracca. We'll make up for it next year, though. But at this point, a shout-out to the team, who were friendly and helpful, and so generous in helping an animal in need without any fuss or red tape. Hats off to such human greatness. See you next year 🎉🎉

If you're looking for a good seafood restaurant with excellent quality food and fresh fish and you're in the Playa area, this is the place for you! 😉 Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere! We ordered 1 marinated raw fish appetizer, 1 Spaghetti with clams, and 1 Spaghetti alla Palermitana (with anchovies instead of sardines), and a sorbet to finish: truly delicious! 😋 Fair prices and a very kind owner❤️ We'll be back😍👍💯

I had a wonderful meal. I had a first course, spaghetti with clams, which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The service was prompt and friendly. I'll be back!

Had a wonderful evening at a lovely and cozy restaurant. We ended up here by chance because all the beach bars were closed due to heavy rain. The food was delicious, and everything was very pleasant and cozy.

We were on vacation in Sicily in July 2015 and accidentally discovered this charming restaurant. Since then, over the years, I've often spoken about it—not only for the incredible food, but also for the unparalleled kindness of the staff. I still remember how unbearably hot it was that day, and the waiters gave our one-year-old some ice cubes to cool off and play on his plate: a simple yet heartfelt gesture. 🙏🏽 Today, 10 years later, we returned to Catania and, of course, we couldn't help but revisit this restaurant. And yes—the food is still extraordinary and the friendliness unchanged. A huge compliment to the entire staff: let's hope it won't be another ten years before we return, because we'll definitely be back! 🙏✨

Der var virkelig lækre vine og fisk, som smagte skønt. Personalet virkede dog ikke helt så professionelle. Tiramisuen til dessert var desværre en skuffelse – den var lidt vandet i bunden og levede ikke helt op til forventningerne. Alt i alt en god oplevelse alligevel.

Caminó a la playa en una escapada sin sentido sugerido por un amigo anterior. Nada en la playa y la única hostería disponible era La Baracca. ¡Wow! Las ensaladas eran tan frescas y sabrosas y la pasta casera era excepcional. Todavía no hablando con mi colega anterior, pero al menos tener algunos buenos recuerdos - usted debe visitar

24/10/2025: A high-end pizzeria that won't disappoint those willing to spend a little more. Thin, easily digestible dough, excellent toppings (the mozzarella, mushrooms, and passata were all good, but it's a shame about the prosciutto, which was decidedly too salty). I didn't drink wine (never with pizza), but the wine list is extensive and varied. The dessert menu was presented without prices (and then a bit steep on the bill), and ultimately, the finish couldn't compare to the excellent pizzas that preceded them (I've had better almond parfaits, and the Sicilian treasure chest was a scoop of almond gelato with a faint hint of pistachio and practically no orange). Enchanting location, excellent service. The overall rating I see now (4.2) is also what I would give if I could give decimals. It wasn't my first visit, and I'll definitely be back.
14/10/2025: High quality. Bit pricey but mostly locals eat here so that’s the best recommendation.
