03/11/2024: Osteria that I wanted to try among those selected as the best in all of Sicily.
It was worth the trip! I sat in the outdoor area, which I found well looked after, clean and pleasant. On the advice of the friendly and helpful waiter I ordered the dishes which are strong and typical of Ragusa cuisine.
Before starting, a welcome bruschetta that envelops your palate in its goodness.
As an appetizer (if I remember correctly) a Ragusan provola pie and sweet and sour vegetables, very good.
As a first course, ricotta ravioli with pork sauce, good but I would have liked stronger flavours.
As a second course, pork rib stuffed with rice and Nebrodi black pig salami with baked potatoes, amazing.
And finally, as a dessert, a classic, ricotta cannoli, for the latter, I confirm the pride of the people of Ragusa, of being excellent producers and of having a superior quality-taste, compared to the ricotta from the various provinces.
Very recommended, prices not like a restaurant, but fair for the quality of the dishes offered and for the use of quality raw materials, for example the vegetables from their garden! Total €58 with specialty coffee.
07/10/2024: Local in the center of Ragusa, but in a quiet location. Excellent value for money. Very friendly and attentive service, the culinary offerings draw on Sicilian cuisine, combining tradition and a pinch of creativity. Absolutely recommended.
