Divine! Christmas motorboat to the Island of Lights – Nativity scenes and flavors on Fishermen's Island: a truly special evening, one that will last a lifetime. For the lights event, we booked dinner at Ristorante Italia, on the island of the same name, and even our arrival on the water, amidst the Christmassy reflections and atmosphere, promised something unique. I'm not a fan of fish—especially lake fish—but I have to say that here they literally made me love it. Dishes of lake fish were divinely prepared, carefully presented, and passionately described by the owner: a talkative, pleasant, and deeply engaging person. Like the rest of the family, of course, but he in particular was able to guide us, with enthusiasm and expertise, in choosing the best they had to offer. The photos speak clearly and tell a lot, even if they can't fully convey the emotions we experienced at the table. Last but not least, the discovery that the restaurant also offers round-trip boat transportation to and from Baveno and Stresa. A boat piloted by the son: a detail that makes all the difference and makes the experience even more intimate, complete, and evocative. An evening of lights dancing on the water, authentic flavors, and genuine people. One to cherish forever.

My husband, our dog, and I had lunch here yesterday. Everyone was very kind and answered all my questions. The risotto alla Borromeo is highly recommended. We'll be back.

With a beautiful covered terrace overlooking the lake, the restaurant is a real gem at the end of Isola dei Pescatori. We managed to get a table even though it was New Year's Day and we didn't have a reservation; the service was very friendly and attentive. We tried the Borromean risotto with perch, the house specialty, and the fried fish, a huge quantity! Everything was very tasty and well-balanced. The bill was a bit pricey, but given the location, we weren't expecting anything less. It's a shame that the service was a bit sloppy, and we had to ask several times for something, which is understandable given the rush that day.

A remarkable restaurant. Fresh fish caught in the lake (pike-perch and perch in particular). A very warm, family atmosphere despite the crowds. Simone gave excellent advice on wine and dishes to try! We hope to return!

The staff and owners are perfect. Just ask politely, and if your request isn't excessive, they'll do their best to accommodate it.

Excellent option and cute little restaurant on the island. Fresh fish cooked to order. During the Christmas atmosphere, the lights accompany the evening.

Average place, friendly waiters. We ate very well! I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because the pasta with tomato sauce cost 17 euros, which was outrageous. So 1 pasta with tomato sauce 1 perch risotto 1 mixed grill 1 bottle of wine (0.375 l) Total 103 euros Everything was excellent! The price includes return transport to Baveno.

Island restaurant with a wonderful view, warm welcome and delicious food, professional and always available service, good wine selection, and friendly and welcoming owners. Definitely worth returning.
