Ilardo In Palermo

We happened upon this place on our way to the hotel on our first day in Palermo. And it stuck. It's become a tradition. A very friendly waiter greeted us from afar every evening, greeting us with a smile. The ice cream here is delicious. The Moretti beer is inexpensive and delicious. I highly recommend it.

Here you can truly enjoy gelato worthy of the name. Or, as they say in Palermo, "as it should be." Add to that the splendid sea view and the friendly staff...

Unlike many high-end gelato shops that now serve more of a "gelato cream" than actual gelato, here I found a fresh, light, and refreshing gelato, just as it should be. A great stop not only to enjoy a delicious gelato, but also to enjoy the view and relax. Highly recommended! ✅🍦

On our arrival night in Palermo, we went for a late night stroll from where we were staying and stumbled on this ice cream parlour by accident. We were drawn to it as many people were sitting outside, some with young children… this was around midnight to 1am on a Thursday night, yet the atmosphere amongst the Sicilians and these kids was lovely to watch as every adult embraced them. However, back to review - the ice creams were delicious and so many flavours to choose from too! Thereafter this first amazing experience, we decided on our exclusions around the city to checked out other ice cream places but we were never tempted by those as they didn’t have as many great flavours as this one! Cos of the lovely vibe outside their premises and the fab generous portions/flavours, we returned each night of our stay in Palermo. Great value - a Large cup with 3 scoops only €4! Bellissimo! 😍

Very simple place but excellent historic ice cream

Delicious ice cream, coffee, and beer, plus friendly service. A good place to relax with a pleasant view. I recommend it.

The gelato is good, the prices are fair, and the sea view is beautiful! The seating and tables are all outside.

This place does not disappoint!! It's listed in a lot of tourist guides. That gave me pause because I was worried that it would be touristy. My worries were unfounded. Great selection!

The ice cream is excellent, especially the latte and coffee flavors. The food is also high quality, well prepared and tasty. The prices are reasonable. Ivan is the top manager.

I tried their salsify and cinnamon ice cream, their historic product... well, it left me a bit perplexed: a slightly... bland flavor?
