We went for the first time on the recommendation of friends. Excellent, excellent, excellent, I won't add anything else. If I ever return to Sicily, this will be a must-visit. Second time today, June 5, 2026, I confirm, top top top, truly compliments to the owner and his staff.

My grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at this restaurant, and we had a wonderful time: the food was plentiful and varied, the seafood fresh, the staff friendly and helpful, the restaurant small but cozy and well-air-conditioned, and above all, the sea view from the first floor was stunning. Highly recommended.

A wonderful experience worth repeating again and again. The restaurant boasts a stunning sea view, the waiters are extremely kind and always available, the appetizers are generous, with fresh shellfish and seafood-flavored oysters, the octopus salad dressed with local olive oil for a true olive flavor, and the first courses are generous and well-seasoned with seafood (the pasta with swordfish and fennel is a special and distinctive flavor; the delicate risotto with the freshest shrimp evokes memories of ancient Sicily). The roasted lobster and shrimp make the meal superb, and the refreshing lemon sorbet rounds off the meal. The wine pairs beautifully with everything, enhancing the flavors of all the dishes. I happily return several times a year, when I long to reminisce about the flavors of my Sicily.

Trattoria L’Ancora is a fantastic place in Sferracavallo for anyone who loves authentic Sicilian food! The atmosphere is warm, simple, and welcoming, giving you that true traditional trattoria feeling. The seafood is incredibly fresh and full of flavor, clearly prepared with great care and respect for local recipes. Every dish we tried was delicious and satisfying, with generous portions and excellent quality. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Service is efficient and always with a smile. If you’re near Palermo, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. Highly recommended for a genuine local dining experience!

We ate there by chance. We ordered the daily special. There were several different dishes. We tried a lot of things and enjoyed every single one.

We had a very good meal. But I didn't like the place. The space is cramped; to access the restrooms, you have to go up to the second floor via a fairly narrow, very crowded spiral staircase, which is also the only access to the tables on that floor. Will you return? Hmm, hard to say.

Recommended by a local, we enjoyed excellent seafood with generous portions in a sea-view dining room. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The menu is exclusively a fixed-price menu, offering excellent value. Well done.
