The service was terrible; the waiter was clueless, the wine bottle wasn't chilled, bread only arrived after we asked for it, the food was under-seasoned and tasteless – only the crème catalana was good, otherwise it was an insult to Italian cuisine. The second time, everything was much better, actually very good. I was very pleasantly surprised; the service was attentive and the food was delicious.

Excellent food, warm welcome, clean, very kind and friendly, Alfredo. We spent two fun hours. The pizza is also excellent, in addition to the à la carte menu. I recommend it. Rita and Sergio, Perugians.

We had lunch at this restaurant we weren't familiar with. We met the owner, Alfredo, an extraordinary person, polite, professional, and very funny. The wait times were excellent, the food spectacular. The seared tuna was extraordinary, we recommend it to everyone. Thanks, Alfredo, see you soon.

Il Timone is my favorite restaurant in Ponza. Fresh fish, delicious pizza, and attentive service make it a place I'll always gladly return to. Kudos to Alfredo, the manager, for his courtesy and expertise.
