Discovering Tuscany, we stopped in Monterioggione, and it was amazing. A small fortress village perched on a hill. Very well preserved and with few renovations, it maintains its essence to the fullest. After the short tour, we sat down for an aperitif at this bar. And surprise, the beer was €4.50. They also gave us three appetizers of chips, olives, and peanuts. So, highly recommended. Sit back and enjoy the moment and the views.

In the fortified village of Monteriggioni, I found refreshment in an inn with a proud name. The Medieval Platter. It wasn't just a meal, but a banquet worthy of the chronicles. An immense platter, heaped with cured meats so precious that every bite seemed like a victory song. And then the pecorino, honey, and walnut crostini. That wasn't food, but magic! An enchantment that captivates the senses and the heart. If your paths ever lead you within those walls, don't you dare continue without crossing that threshold. I tell you, I found there not a meal... but an eternal memory.

Wonderful place practically in the center of the square. 👌The internal room with armor and typically medieval style is wonderful, but sitting at the tables overlooking the square is like a journey through time and taste! The crostoni are amazing, I tried the one with pecorino and truffle and the one with pecorino, pears and honey... a delight! 🤤🤤 The finale with a mix of Tuscan desserts and vinsanto is the perfect circle that closes my experience here 🤩 The owner is incredibly friendly, as is the staff! 👌👌Definitely worth returning! 💪 I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart 🙏 On the sidelines, when "Jupiter from the sky" decided to go from thunder to a wonderful downpour... they also offered us a nice... sheltering umbrella 🥹💪✌️
