Took half an hour for the starters , but worth the wait . Friendly staffs , great place for small and big groups!

I dined here recently, and the atmosphere is elegant and refined. The pizza was really good, made with quality ingredients. In addition to the pizza, we tried some pasta dishes, including calamarata, and were very satisfied. Highly recommended.

Il Sale in Catania is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed — not just as guests, but as a family. We were dining with our 8-month-old baby, and the waiters were incredibly warm, attentive, and kind. They smiled, played with her, and made us feel completely at ease, which is something you don’t experience everywhere. The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor. Keep in mind that it’s not traditional Catanian - contemporary with a twist In terms of value, Il Sale is a real bargain for the quality it delivers. It’s not cheap, but it’s absolutely not expensive either — the prices are more than fair for the level of cooking, service, and overall experience. You leave feeling that you received far more than you paid for. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Catania — whether you’re a couple, a foodie, or traveling with a baby and looking for a restaurant that truly cares about its guests.

A thoroughly sublime dining experience. The pizzas are sophisticated and sufficient in size for dinner. Staff are very professional, friendly without imposing on your dining. Highly recommend either of the pizzette choices and 'Il Sale' pizza.
