We were tourists….and we really lucked out on this restaurant. We don’t like going to the tourist traps. This is a gem! I would recommend the pistachio pesto pasta! Amazing! The panelle palermitane, and the mini Sicilian Fritte were to die for….and in our second visit we ordered the Tuna tataki ….and again simply amazing! Definitely a must if you are in Catania

Reading the menu you get the impression of high ambitions, unfortunately the kitchen can’t quite deliver on those ambitions. The food is almost there but needs that last bit of QC that only a great chef can deliver. I think that the restaurant would do itself a favour if it reduced the menu to 1/3 of the dishes and focused hard on getting those right. The service is impeccable and the wine list is fairly priced. All in all an ok experience but there is room for improvements.

We haven't eaten anything as delicious as here in Budapest. Friendly and kind service, elegant, but as if you were in a family environment. Everything is sophisticated and the flavors are amazingly delicious!

This was our best food experience in Catania!! 3 days in a row we visited this restaurant & ordered different dishes and all were fantastic!
Our favorites : pistacchio pasta, polpo and panna cotta is a must!

⭐️ Good location and street view. Delicious pizza and very hearty with lots of toppings. The pizza comes in different plates for two people at once.
❌ Very blunt knives. There is no English on the drinks menu and in general the whole menu is rather poorly adapted for tourists. The cocktails turned out to be heavily alcoholic.

Locale alla moda, pretenzioso ma non eccezionale.
A parità di portate, le porzioni divergono. Una Bufala in carrozza aveva una dimensione doppia di quella di un collega e anche il letto di caponata era di quantitativo diverso da piatto a piatto.
La portata di "Spada VS Baccalà" è buona ma è prevalentemente spettacolare. Qualche boccone in più non avrebbe guastato.
Invece ottimi (seppure anche loro esteticamente elaborati) i dolci.
Prativamente infinita la lista dei vini

Avevamo voglia di una pizza e abitando in zona abbiamo fatto un salto da Il Sale ristorante storico di Via Santa Filomena con menù mediterraneo e locale stagionale e prodotti ricercati del territorio e presidio slow food.
Noi abbiamo scelto una pizza (norma) e un calzone (tuma).
Buono l’impasto e la cottura, ottimo il condimento.
Nessun problema di digestione o di gonfiore dí stomaco.
Le crew del locale é attenta e operativa.
Esperienza più che positiva.
