Excellent, quality food. We only tried the meat-based first and second courses. I recommend the tortelli mugellani and mushroom risotto. Generous portions. A guarantee!

This is a long-standing establishment. The atmosphere is a bit dated, but we like it because it's the same as always. The food quality is modest, as the focus was on quantity over quality.

Everything was very good, both the starters and the main courses. The only thing was that the spaghetti was overcooked, but that's a mistake that can easily happen.

09/11/2025: We spent a weekend in Barberino yesterday after reading a lot of positive reviews, and we can only confirm them! A typical restaurant with local products. We had a delicious Florentine steak accompanied by salad, tomatoes, and delicious buttered spinach!!! The hostess is incredibly kind, she makes you feel right at home!! The cantucci biscuits are also excellent!! We'll be back!
02/11/2025: Exactly what we expected. Intimate atmosphere, small menu, welcoming and helpful staff, and fabulous heifer steak. All at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

17/12/2025: We found this place while trying to escape the madness of the Mercato Centrale. It only has about 3 tables inside and it was really quiet on a Saturday lunch time in December. We had a bottle of wine and 3 bruschette for about €40 (£35). They didn't have a wine list, you just have a look around for what you want. They are all clearly labelled with both the takeaway and the drink in price which is great. The man working there was very reserved, not particularly chatty or helpful, but maybe it was just a slow day. All in all we did enjoy our visit and the wine was my favourite of the ones I had in Florence.
24/10/2025: A truly interesting and typical place in Florence's historic center. Excellent wine bar and excellent platters and snacks. The panigacci are unique and delicious!!! The wine recommendations from Livio del Chiaro, an excellent sommelier, are unsurpassed... definitely worth a try!!!
