The owners of the B&B where we're spending our vacation recommended this restaurant to us. It's small and perhaps not as scenic as others, and it's not in a touristy location, but the quality of the food and service are excellent. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Make sure to book ahead because it's always busy. If you eat outside, there might be a few mosquitoes, although there are citronella candles to limit their numbers. We brought our own mosquito repellent and had no problems. It was our first time there, and we filled up on just the appetizers: a true delight. We absolutely must return to try the rest of the menu!
Parking is on the street, so you have to drive around a bit, but you'll find something.

As we entered, the gentleman who welcomed us explained that they only served their own fish, cooked according to a seafood recipe. The raw antipasto was very sparing in quantity but remarkably fresh. The first course was linguine with clams in a tomato and sweet pepper sauce; in my opinion, there was no other way to ruin the flavor of the clams (I think they were lupini). The second course was a mixed roast, which was good but overcooked, making it all too dry. It's worth noting that when I explained what I didn't like (as requested by the gentleman who welcomed us), he walked away without even letting me continue, an unkind move that speaks volumes about the fussiness he had listed upon arrival.

Worth a try for the owner's empathy, the speed and punctuality of the service, and the good value. The raw fish dishes are as worthy as the delicacies offered at the time, and they enhance the flavor of the fish without overdoing it with sauces and gravies. It's always a pleasure to return.

A small restaurant serving the freshest seafood...an appetizer with wonderful raw and cooked dishes...about 12 small plates...homemade maltagliati with shrimp and mantis shrimp, a tasty seafood stew with peeled fish, and a lovely mixed fried fish platter...everything was perfect...kudos also to the young, professional, and efficient staff.
