We went for a lunch in this nice place in Acqui Terme. Impeccable service, very friendly. Superb food and the wine that was suggested went very well with all the courses. Wonderful experience and when we will be back in the Piemonte, we will most certainly visit this place again.

We had the pleasure of dining at Il Moncalvo Restaurant, located in the charming loggia of a historic 16th-century building in Acqui Terme. We ordered two appetizers and two fish main courses: each dish was a pleasant discovery. The presentation was meticulous, almost artistic, and the flavor combinations were original and unexpected, a sign of careful, creative cuisine that respects the ingredients. The service made the evening even more enjoyable: the manager was friendly and helpful. Special praise also goes to the waitress, who was charming, affable, and attentive, always attentive but never intrusive. In short, Il Moncalvo proved to be a delightful discovery: a restaurant that combines quality cuisine, welcoming service, and a unique architectural setting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a high-end dining experience in Acqui Terme. It feels like we're overlooking the fact that our big dog Byron was also chocolate and very welcome. --

Incredible hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious. I'm surprised there's no Michelin star on their door. Judy was amazing and made the experience even better.

We booked this restaurant last minute because we were looking for something nice a few steps from the center. Perfect choice. The location is really very suggestive, you have lunch under the portico of an ancient abbey. The staff welcomed us with kindness and friendliness. The quality of the dishes is high and the portions are generous. The welcome entrée and the pastries brought with the coffee were much appreciated. I recommend the fried fish and trying their desserts because they are amazing as well as beautiful to look at. The service is perhaps a little slow but the atmosphere is so pleasant that you don't notice the passage of time. The prices are in line with the quality and quantity of the food consumed.

What an amazing place. Very romantic location with great service, delicious food and wine. An absolute must if you are in the area!

Menù operaio a pranzo del venerdì. Abbiamo optato per il pesce. Abbiamo pranzato fuori. Gusto, cura e gentilezza. Consigliato.

Pranzo di passaggio con la moglie. Locale bellissimo situato in un antica abbazia vicino al Duomo. Accogliente, gentilissimo e simpatico il personale. Cibo ottimo con piatti da cucina stellata. Molto graditi assaggini pre pasto offerti dalla chef compreso dolcino finale col caffè . Da provare la guancia per me squisitissima. Molto gradita musica vintage in sottofondo Se siete da quelle parti lo consiglio vivamente !!!
