Piedmont is a region where eating well is easy, but this restaurant is truly sublime. The cuisine, largely classic Piedmontese, is top-notch in terms of authenticity, quality ingredients, and excellent presentation. The wine list is commendable, and, last but not least, the staff is exceptional in their professionalism, kindness, and helpfulness, making you feel at home in this historic location, in the heart of a beautiful town. Prices perfectly match the quality of the food and service.

The high-quality bread already showed the restaurant's attention to detail, but the complimentary delicate appetizers were a pleasant surprise! The salted cod appetizer with its sauce was delicious. The main course, the assorted poached beef, was served with a pot of broth, and the attentive waitress proactively asked if we needed small bowls and spoons to enjoy the broth. A small dessert platter was even provided after the meal. Overall, the dining experience and the friendly service deserve full marks. Highly recommended! I was at Il Moncalvo restaurant today and would first like to emphasize that the dining experience was truly positive: the dishes were very good, carefully prepared, and of high quality, and the attentive and friendly service made us feel welcomed and professionally cared for. For this reason, I'd like to share, in a constructive spirit, an aspect that left me a little perplexed. The restaurant's service phone had "Faccetta Nera" as its ringtone, a song historically associated with offensive and derogatory content. Furthermore, the phone rang repeatedly in the dining room, which seemed quite noticeable and out of place, especially considering the presence of a Black person. I'm certain there was no negative intent, but I believe that greater attention to these details could help make the environment truly welcoming and respectful for everyone. I reiterate my compliments for the food and hospitality, hoping that this observation will be taken as a starting point to further improve an already excellent experience.

The welcome and food were exceptional. The setting (a former convent) is warm and intimate. The portions are enormous.

Excellent restaurant, the dishes were all fresh, delicious, the first courses such as the tagliatelle with truffle and the staff were polite and courteous and the service was fast.
