Happy being back at Il Leone Rosso after more than 6 years.
After visiting this restaurant on a shining sunny autumn I had to come back here at my second time in Sorrento. The place has remained a cozy, beautiful restaurant in the picturesque Sorrento.
For antipasti we had eggplants stuffed with mozzarella and grilled veggies.
For mains we had the famous gnocchi alla Sorrentina and the fettuccini with wild mushroom. All dishes were tasty and especially the gnocchi.
For drinks we had a semi-sparkling red wine, and fresh limoncello as a digestive.
Service was great and atmosphere was charming just as like the first time here!

A truly positive experience, the food was delicious and the service excellent, with excellent value.
The staff showed attentive and appreciated customer service, a rare occurrence.
I highly recommend trying this restaurant.

We only used the restaurant. Dinner included a fish appetizer for two (very generous), followed by seafood scialatielli, a little too salty for my taste, but I have to give it a high rating because it was very well seasoned. Then came the fried calamari, excellent and flavorful. Finally, the typical dessert, "lemon delight," which the name alone says it all. The local white wine was excellent and reasonably priced. The restaurant is located in the center, close to everything and within walking distance (so you can drink!) The waiters were kind and helpful (we were the last to leave), and the price was excellent considering the fish dinner. We'll be back.
