We came across this amazing spot in the Michelin guide. It was simply brilliant and such a special place to celebrate my 30th birthday. The service was expectional - guiding us through wine choices. The setting balanced a private dining experience, while retaining the authenticity and buzz of a Tuscan restaurant. The attention to detail (in presentation, flavour and textures) was so clear! I hope one day to be able to return.

A fantastic experience!! The location is evocative and meticulously maintained, every corner exudes history and charm. The food is pure poetry, top-notch ingredients cooked to perfection. The wait staff is highly trained and available to answer any questions or concerns about the venue. The price is reasonable for the quality of the venue, the service, and the cuisine. I will remember it for a long time, and I will return at every opportunity.

The dishes were truly spot-on. I've rarely eaten so well. Exceptional livers, beautifully cooked pigeon, smoked spaghetti with black garlic and anchovy sauce—spectacular, tasty, and with perfectly balanced flavors. The service was very pleasant, with kind and attentive staff. The wine list was very adequate, with a good selection and competitive prices. Excellent value.

All dishes are very well-balanced and well-executed. The perfect place to enjoy the new-harvest olive oil: cod in chickpea and cavolo nero cream, handmade tortelli with olive oil and parmesan, peposo all'imprunetina with beans, and an honorable mention for the olive oil gelato. 10 out of 10!!

This was such a memorable meal in beautifully atmospheric surroundings. It's a week later and I'm still thinking about the food (and wine) - the liver pâté with black cherry was a particular highlight, incredibly inventive and so delicious! You can really tell that the chef has a lot care and love for the food. The restaurant itself is also very unique, down in the cellar of the olive oil mill - makes for a very cosy and relaxing environment. Along with the warm and attentive service, I didn't want to leave at the end of the meal! Truly a destination restaurant to seek out if you are in the area.

11/11/2025: A true Tuscan gem! I had a fantastic tasting experience at Fattoria di Montemorli. The setting is beautiful — rustic, welcoming, and full of history. Vittorio was an outstanding host, taking time to share the story behind the winery and each of the delicious wines we tasted. Every glass captured the spirit of Tuscany, from their Chianti Classico to the Vin Santo. Highly recommend stopping here if you want an authentic, family-run experience between Siena and San Gimignano. It was one of the highlights of my trip! 🍷

Fonteverde Tuscan Resort Restaurant

25/02/2026: Pros: Large pool complex, very friendly and helpful staff, plenty of linens, cleanliness. Cons: The details. Lack of attention to dietary restrictions, which were stated in writing and repeatedly verbally (use of allergens even if not listed on the menu), even in room amenities. These are serious issues in my opinion (which cost me two days of illness and the resulting cancellation of my plans for those two days). I can't comment on the breakfast buffet because I was too unwell to leave the room and eat. Less serious, but still noticeable, issues are: in the room (suite), an exposed plastic drain in the bathroom and a lack of basic toiletries (obviously not towels, but toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable soaps, etc.), lack of clear signage (besides me, I saw many guests wandering around asking for information), some areas were decidedly poorly organized (there was no room to leave bathrobes and slippers in the private pool. The indoor loungers were definitely insufficient for the influx of guests.). Leaks and humidity. Which are expected in a spa. But in a 5-star resort. The overall experience is something I'm forced to reject it.. Especially considering the overall cost.. I don't just mean money obviously.
15/02/2026: Overall, the property is worth the price. The receptionists, hotel, bar, and restaurant staff are impeccable. Professional and reliable. I'm a satisfied customer. I'd like to leave a hopefully constructive comment about the restaurant: we've been to your other properties (ex Grotta Giusti) and were completely satisfied with the food. Unfortunately, the cuisine at the restaurant at Fonteverde isn't up to par with the property. I'm not saying the food is bad, but it's just not up to par. I hope this comment is constructive, as the property is truly unparalleled and the staff is highly professional. The central bar is absolutely worthy: I've never had such a good drink. For this very reason, it's truly a shame not to elevate the restaurant's cuisine to 5-star standards. We'll definitely be back; we had a great time.
