We had the best pasta of our lives this evening!!! It was fresh and delicious. Phillopo was magnificent at telling his story of growing up and learning to make pasta. We highly recommend this restaurant.

After a whole day of sightseeing and exploring the majestic city called Rome we found ourselves not wanting to go far to have a delicious meal. By chance we stumble upon Il Fiammifero Strano where we got served right away with a smile and good sense of humor accompanied by delicious food. I enjoyed the fact that owner / chef is very passionate about his food to (creations) and that they come with a story too. It was an enjoyable evening and happy to have had the opportunity to try them out.

Amazing! The owner loves his restaurant and talking with patrons. He recommended the Tonnarelli cacio e pepe in cialda and it was the best pasta I have ever had. My husband got the gluten free pizza and said it was delicious and the grilled lamb ribs were also good. Definitely recommend!!

What a beautiful restaurant, Authentic and a great atmosphere! The food was amazing with lovely big portions. The lasagna was homemade and tasted amazing paired with the house wine also made by the owner. The service was amazing and the owner was helpful and chatty!! Would definitely recommend if you want authentic Roman restaurant with an authentic Roman owner ♥️♥️♥️

I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, and the owner humbly recommended a few dishes. It was a perfect choice! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the owner speaks fluent Polish, making him a very charming person! It's definitely worth a visit when in Rome.

21/03/2026: There are delicious and varied options, making it a good choice for breakfast, but there's very little seating and it gets quite busy in the mornings. You'll have to wait a bit for a seat. Still, I recommend it.

10/07/2026: A very pretty restaurant from the outside, nestled in the alleys of historic Garbatella. Inside, the place is more unassuming. Helpful staff. Very good food. The appetizers were outstanding, and the main courses were also very good. I brought friends there, and they were thrilled. The price was average.
06/07/2026: Lovely restaurant in the heart of Garbatella. Very friendly staff, high-quality ingredients, well-prepared. Excellent value. We'll definitely be back.
