Passing by after an outlet shopping trip. Worth a stop...quality dishes at a good price. Fast service. We would have preferred slightly smaller portions. But in the end, we had everything we needed. I recommend it if you're in the area. Had a fish-based dinner...the quality is there. Well done.

There's no such thing as insatiable appetites here. "Would you like to continue? Would you like to try again?" was never far from their lips. I'm so grateful for their friendly service and problem-solving approach.

I was there today for lunch.....superlative, top welcome, top kindness, equally good food and decidedly good price, super location. We were outside with lots of fresh air. Keep it up. Really good

I tried this place on the advice of friends and I immediately fell in love with it. Very helpful and competent staff, delicious food, perfect welcome. I highly recommend trying it It deserves all the stars

My husband and I ate at this restaurant today. Nice place with ample parking, quality food, well cooked and at a restaurant price. Very kind staff. The hot focaccia instead of bread served covered with a Russian salad offered by them is really good! Super recommended place!

For lunch on Saturday on the advice of a local friend, we had a very good time tasting the local cuisine which we found to be well prepared and of good quality at a fair price. The hot focaccia served instead of bread along with a bowl of Russian salad is spectacular. Nice place which I imagine is pleasant even in summer due to the external pergola, we also liked the service. We'll be back.

Torniamo sempre volentieri in questo ristorante dove atmosfera servizio e buon cibo si fondono per garantire una serata speciale. Alla fine della settimana si trascorre qualche momento di relax nelle antiche stanze a lume di candela con musica soft di sottofondo. Personale gentile e discreto sempre attento ai particolari. Ottimo cibo ben presentato, menù vario sia di carne che di pesce o menù a tema. Insuperabile la panna cotta. Ideale per festeggiare un'occasione speciale. Bella atmosfera anche nell'ampio dehor estivo.

13/07/2025: We went for a lunch in this nice place in Acqui Terme. Impeccable service, very friendly. Superb food and the wine that was suggested went very well with all the courses. Wonderful experience and when we will be back in the Piemonte, we will most certainly visit this place again.
12/07/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at Il Moncalvo Restaurant, located in the charming loggia of a historic 16th-century building in Acqui Terme. The location is simply enchanting: an elegant and timeless atmosphere that offers an immersive experience, perfectly balanced between history and refinement. We ordered two appetizers and two fish main courses: each dish was a pleasant discovery. The presentation was meticulous, almost artistic, and the flavor combinations were original and unexpected, a sign of careful, creative cuisine that respects the ingredients. The service made the evening even more enjoyable: the manager was friendly and helpful. Special praise also goes to the waitress, who was charming, affable, and attentive, always attentive but never intrusive. In short, Il Moncalvo proved to be a delightful discovery: a restaurant that combines quality cuisine, welcoming service, and a unique architectural setting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a high-end dining experience in Acqui Terme. It feels like we're overlooking the fact that our big dog Byron was also chocolate and very welcome. --
