Had dinner at around 8:30 on a tuesday night. Ordered the Calamari and had a glass of Merlot along with fresh bread and classic Tiramisu. Menu is in Italian only but the hostess and I were able to communicate in English.

It was a fantastic evening, a warm welcome, a charming setting, excellent food (plenty of vegetarian offerings) and the perfect red wine recommended by the very kind Tumpa (I don't remember the name of the wine though!). Very close to Piazza Navona, in a characteristic alley, but frequented by real Romans, not just tourists

Charming small restaurant in the historic centre of Rome with delicious dishes, great wines and a fabulous host. Can recommend it to anyone and will certainly come back here myself. As soon as we entered we knew we were in good hands.

My partner and I went for dinner on Saturday at a friend's recommendation. It was absolutely delicious! The carbonara was light yet rich, the guanciale was perfectly cooked. I had the ravioli funghi, and we shared the vegetable dish too. The house wine was the best we've had in Italy. They change the menu often, so be prepared for anything. If you are in this neighborhood Il Desiderio preso per la Coda is the place to go for dinner!

well, to share this restaurant I would have to share the experience of a lifetime, with the current kind host, and his excellent chef, but also with his far-sighted parents, vegetarian experimenters and collectors, a safe and sincere place of good food and good times spent!

So far the best food we've had in Rome. Hidden in a corner, the restaurant offers delicious fresh Italian dishes. The menu is limited and changes from day to day. The hostess is very friendly. The interior is top notch. Recommended!!!

Cenamos aquí dos veces. La pasta era fresca y casera. ¡Qué delicioso! Recomendaría probar el desierto romano. Nos encantó Belle ella era un perro tan dulce.

05/08/2024: What an absolutely amazing place. I stumbled across this restaurant while wandering around the town with my partner, and just by looking in the front door we knew we had to book! We ended up going with the full family, and even though the owner Romeo spoke no English, he was so attentive and patient. The menu was described in detail, and Romeo made it easy for us to know what we were getting. The antipasti was PERFECT, and really showcased the best of what Napoli and the rest of rural Italy has to offer. Primi included the best pasta I've ever had, and the dolci menu was simply "tiramisu", but did NOT disappoint. The most creamy and light tiramisu I've ever had. For a party of 5 (plus a child) we paid just over 200 euros, and had the most amazing experience. One of the locals who spoke English even gave us a tour of the lower caves, what an amazing way to show off your premises! You MUST go here if you're staying around Palombara or Tivoli. I'd recommend taking cash, as the card machine can sometimes have issues, but it's a very minor point.
03/08/2024: Super welcome, excellent food... we felt pampered by Davide's professionalism. Wonderful location, especially the grotto area. Highly recommended.

03/12/2024: Small but mighty. Six tables, limited hours of operation - 12:30 to 3 and 6:30 to 8, closed Sunday. Credit cards accepted. We went at 6:45 on a Tuesday night and there was already a line. We only waited 15 or 20 minutes. Menu is posted on a board on the side wall. About 12+ pasta dishes, approximately 6 "second course ( no pasta tbc), and 3 deserts. Food is prepared fresh and served hot. Look at the shelf above the counter for drink choices plus red or white wine by glass or bottle. The lineup says it all. It's worth the short wait.
20/11/2024: Klein aber oho! Dieses Lokal ist einen Besuch wert. Hier wird mit Leidenschaft gekocht, die Küche steht im direkten Kontakt mit den Gästen und man hat das Gefühl, dass einem die Wünsche von den Lippen abgelesen werden. Der Chef lebt das kochen und man sieht es ihm an und man schmeckt es. Der Laden hat Charme, Flair und es war unglaublich lecker.
