Il Delfino In Roma

After a long time, I returned to Delfino, a historic restaurant in the city center, driven, above all, by memories of my mother. At 12:00 on Saturday, August 16th (the ZTL is not in effect, but you can enter on Saturdays!), I managed to quickly park nearby, ordered two calzones, one classic and one with tomato sauce, three supplì, and a slice of pizza with mortadella, for lunch for three, recalling unforgettable flavors. The location is very touristy because it's on the crossroads between Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Largo Argentina. I was delighted to say goodbye to the owner, a stalwart of traditional management. I was pleasantly surprised to still find some of the old products despite the passage of time and the usual work for tourists. A pleasant goodbye and best of luck for the future. See you soon!

I'm a quarter Roman, my mother is Roman and my father is Piedmontese, and Delfino is a cloud in my childhood memories... I remember it with friends and relatives; it seems like a fairy tale, but I used to frequent this fantastic place when I was young with my parents and grandparents. I've also heard from friends of friends who remember the place in the '60s. Clearly, a lot has changed, but the essence is still the same: "The food is rustic but very good." I fondly remember a particular tramezzino that was filled, breaded, and fried. Not exactly "light," but mouth-watering. Everything else hasn't really changed much. It's worth the wait in the summer when there are more tourists than usual. Everything is very tasty and Roman. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The place is tidy and spotlessly clean. Right in the heart of Rome. You can walk almost everywhere. The prices are more than reasonable. Always satisfied over the years. I've brought my wife, then my children, and now my grandchildren, and just this year (they're super enthusiastic). My office in Rome is on a completely different side of town, but whenever I can, I always pop in for a bite to eat. Highly recommended and with much love. Thank you.

The food service was very good, and I was able to enjoy the company of other people, with very good dishes. It's a place that could use a bit of renovation, but the service you receive makes you feel like you're at home.

The sandwich was a bit rough, but not bad, and the coffee was okay. The dinner got a lot of bad reviews😭

Best cappuccino largo that I ever tried in Rome. The place, the people who work there everything perfect. The bathroom was cleaned. I will definitely recommend the place.

The menu description is friendly. They don't particularly heat the bread, but they have a variety of croissants.
