A Swiss friend from Lugano, named “Zaffiro”, recommended this place to me and, after trying it with my friends, I can say that it exceeded my expectations. The raw material is of high quality, the combinations are well studied and the plating is taken care of in detail. If you are looking for a restaurant where you can eat well on the border between Switzerland and Italy, this is undoubtedly one of the best. Among the liqueurs offered at the end of dinner, my favorite is the pistachio one. The staff is friendly, the service is quick and the overall experience was really pleasant. Recommended, and I will definitely be back! I also attach some photos.

After years of not eating at Crotto del Lago I went for lunch on Epiphany day Even though it was their last day of work before the winter closure, I was able to enjoy a mixed starter of very fresh seafood and a very tasty first course, spaghetti, clams and bottarga, which I highly recommend...The service was excellent with the right level of friendliness and friendliness. I went to lunch with my daughter the other day. The place has a beautiful view of the lake, a quiet area. I chose to eat lake fish, accompanied by polenta and vegetables, while my daughter opted for spaghetti with clams. All very good. House white wine. All the staff are very kind and competent, I will definitely go back as soon as they reopen, because now they will close for holidays, so maybe I will eat on the terrace!

We have been coming to eat for 20 years and have always enjoyed both the environment and the food, unfortunately this Christmas we went at the last moment but we found the place not crowded...strange for Christmas...then we realized that the menu and the wine were inedible apart from the prosecco they gave us which was good too bad only one cup! We hope that it was caused by a change in management or in any case an isolated error, it needs to be improved in the near future.

I recommend this restaurant, in addition to the really good food, we found something increasingly rare to find: people who tell you about their work and food stories with passion and love. A beautiful family of restaurateurs. Father with a moustache, a son with a beard in the dining room and one in the kitchen plus others in the rear. All polite and kind to their greedy customers. We chose the place for New Year's Eve dinner and to await the New Year overlooking the lake. We decided on the dishes by choosing from their menu the ones that intrigued us most and we were not disappointed. The service was prompt in a room that wasn't too crowded. We remained on plates of land with my initial escape on pickled fish. The pink bubbles. fun and quality. they adequately accompanied the dinner. At the end, in addition to coffee, we enjoyed two samples of limoncello and a pistachio liqueur, both from a Brescia distillery. The affable father then insisted on offering us the midnight toast and entertaining us with a competent conversation about lake fish, their specialty. I promised to come back to enjoy them. Therefore a very positive and not noisy experience with only a few fireworks on the other bank. They even honored my golden card so hated by their short-sighted colleagues. Well done

Siamo stati al Crotto del Lago una domenica a pranzo, abbiamo prenotato diverse settimane prima. Il Crotto si trova praticamente a pelo sul lago, ha una terrazza e una vista incantevole. L’interno è semplice ma accogliente, pulito e ordinato. Il personale è stato molto gentile e il servizio attento. Menù interessante e quando siamo andati noi aveva anche la carta della rassegna. Abbiamo ordinato due antipasti: tagliere di salumi nostrani con la loro giardiniera e insalata russa. Sciatt e bresaola con cipolla caramellata. Ottimi ! Come piatti principali: pizzoccheri e filetto di cervo con mirtilli patate e taccole. Nulla da dire sui pizzoccheri davvero buonissimi. Il cervo buono ma nulla che mi abbia entusiasmato (io adoro la carne di cervo e la mangio volentieri quando mi si presenta in menù ). Dolce : castagne calde con miele panna e gelato al fior di latte. A noi è piaciuto molto. Carta dei vini ben fornita, prezzi molto onesti . Noi abbiamo preso un Sassella “rededition piazza vini “. Sempre una garanzia. Ho apprezzato il pensierino che hanno sbagliato su ogni tavolo , dei legumi secchi per zuppa. Il titolare mi ha anche dato un consiglio su come farli. Gentilissimo. Ci torneremo assolutamente.

Excellent filet de bœuf à la piémontaise dans ce sympathique restaurant au bord de l‘eau. Service attentionné et ambiance décontractée.
