Il Convivio In Tropea

The food was okay, but the service was a bit overwhelmed at times. For example: We ordered an orata (sea bream), but "unfortunately, it's out, have a spigola, it's similar." Okay, we ordered a spigola, but a slice of pesce spada (grilled swordfish) arrived that we hadn't ordered. On our table were the white wine we ordered in the cooler and two filled glasses. A waiter appeared with a bottle of red wine and two glasses, expressed surprise that we supposedly hadn't ordered it, and left again (the wine was eagerly awaited at the neighboring table, 50 cm away). A similar thing happened again with spaghetti vongole, which was brought to us but meant for someone else ;-)))). Maybe next time we'll just eat and drink whatever they bring us 🙃 Always well-stocked, that might explain it.

One of the best pizzas in Tropea. Very attentive staff and located in the old town. Comfortable and with an extensive menu. The prices are reasonable, but what stands out most is the service. Definitely going back!

I tried the tropean salad, the grilled swordfish, and the tiramisu. The salad was delicious, all of the ingredients were very fresh and paired well. Might have used the bread to soak up some of the salad juices 😂 for my main I had the grilled swordfish. I don’t have swordfish often, so I don’t know whether or not it’s the sort of fish that’s meant to have a lot of flavor or is more bland by nature. But even though it didn’t have much flavor, you could tell it was very fresh and the lemon was nice to add to it a bit. The edges of it were quite crispy and my favorite part of the fish. For dessert I saved room for the tiramisu. Well, it wasn’t anything to write home about in my opinion, but was good. I would return to try more of the menu. Overall even though I wasn’t “wowed” I can appreciate that everything was very fresh and would recommend this place to others and would eat here again. The prices are fair and the staff is kind and attentive. Thanks for a nice meal 👍🏼

Had such good food here. Service was great. Prices were fair. Such an amazing restaurant. They let you add a massive ball of mozzarella or burrata to any pizza which is a must.

An absolute delight! We visited Il Convivo in Tropea and were absolutely thrilled! The food was simply fantastic – every dish was prepared with love and full of flavor. The service is also particularly noteworthy: the waiters were consistently very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. You feel completely at ease and welcome. One thing is for sure: We will definitely be back! This restaurant is a real insider tip – highly recommended!

Really good food! We had a typical Tropea appetizer, a pizza with Tropea onion and a local pasta (fileja) with seafood. Highly recommended place. Very kind and helpful staff.

Very good restaurant with professional and helpful service. Wonderful atmosphere inside and outside the restaurant. Food varied and tasty. As for the quality of the restaurant, prices are very affordable!
