More than a simple lunch, it was an experience of expertly blended flavours. Absolutely centered prices.

Nothing to say, the food is exquisite (the fish melts in your mouth!) Very quiet environment for a dinner with your family or as a couple. You have to go there at least once, highly recommended!

When I read the phrase "The menu is chosen by the sea" engraved on the threshold of the Conte Nero restaurant in Scoglitti, an ancient fishing village on the Ragusa coast of eastern Sicily, I didn't hesitate for a moment and entered. Thus I found myself inside a typical local house converted into a restaurant by the skill of a Milanese architect and welcomed by the warmth and hospitality that only Sicilians possess. They made me sit in the internal garden and I was able, at the invitation of the owner himself, to choose the wine to drink directly from the cellar, while waiting to receive the numerous courses of the "Tasting": not simple food but the culinary tale of the unmistakable and identifying flavors of Sicilian cuisine inherited from the many historical dominations and reinterpreted by expert, respectful and aware hands who, however, do not disdain experimenting with melon frost, easy to say, not so easy to do. The story ends with a refreshing sorbet and with the bill, not at all a sore point if while you pay you think back to the culinary event you witnessed......

Quando ho letto la frase “Il Menù lo sceglie il mare” incisa sulla soglia del ristorante conte nero di Scoglitti, antico borgo di pescatori posto sulle coste ragusane della Sicilia orientale, non ho esitato un attimo e sono entrata. Mi sono ritrovata così all’interno di una tipica abitazione del luogo riadattata a ristorante dalla maestria di un architetto milanese e accolta dal calore e l’ospitalità che solo i siciliani posseggono. Mi hanno fatta accomodare nel giardino interno e ho potuto, su invito del proprietario stesso, scegliere direttamente dalla cantinetta il vino da bere, nell’attesa di ricevere le numerose portate della “Degustazione”: non semplice cibo ma il racconto culinario degli inconfondibili e identitari sapori della cucina Siciliana ereditati delle tante dominazioni storiche e reinterpretati da mani esperte, rispettose e consapevoli che non disdegnano però di sperimentare col gelo al melone facile a dirsi non così facile a farsi. Il racconto si conclude con un rinfrescante sorbetto e col conto per niente una nota dolente se mentre paghi ripensi all’evento culinario di cui sei stato testimone ………..

One of the best fish restaurant I’ve ever been. The food is amazing and the location (we seated in the inside patio) is perfect. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Rich starters and excellent quality food

Abbiamo appena finito di cenare al ristorante Il Conte Nero e siamo sinceramente soddisfatti. Abbiamo scelto la degustazione di antipasti che comprende 14portate marinati e cotti, consigliato dal proprietario. È doveroso dire che siamo stati accolti e serviti in modo eccellente,dalla presentazione dei piatti,alla scelta del vino. Tutto servito in modo perfetto. In due con degustazione più una bottiglia di vino e due sorbetto, abbiamo pagato 110€, prezzo corretto per la qualità. Torneremo di sicuro e lo consiglio vivamente.
