Quality fish, we tried the cod, a first course of scampi and the stuffed squid. Generous portions for two people, you leave full and satisfied. The garden is beautiful and the view of the sea is enviable. The structure is rustic.

Very nice and welcoming place, excellent dishes recommended by the restaurant guys, we cleaned the plates with the shoe!

The maximum score deserved for the good, quality and plentiful food, the fresh and divinely cooked fish (compliments to the chef), for the location, we ate in the garden with a breathtaking view, due to the rain we moved to the interior and we enjoyed the rooms of this fantastic castle from the 1700s. Impeccable service, white-haired Viviana professional, friendly and nice. Fair prices. What to add, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Ieri sera sono stata di nuovo per una cena con amici al Calesse . In primis struttura straordinaria : mi fa sognare i tempi in cui era abitata con la sua aia ( dove attualmente sono ospitati i tavoli all’aperto) tutta in pietra . L’accoglienza del personale deliziosa . Le pietanze tutte molto buone e per finire una fetta di torta alle mandorle buonissima . Il paesaggio intorno , la vista sul mare , l’isola di Capri in lontananza completano il benessere .

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance after a walk in the historic center of Castellabate in the middle of August under a scorching sun. We didn't have a reservation and luckily found a cool place outside. The location is unquestionable, right at the entrance to the town, close to the castle and with a sea view! We ate well, even if we tasted rather simple dishes, but if the products are good, simplicity at the table is also appreciated! It's a shame for the "slip" of the service/chef who missed the order for the first course (perhaps during the waiters' shift change the deliveries were not passed), because after a long and vain wait we had to point out the inconvenience ourselves. After initially telling us that the kitchen was now closed, they then agreed to prepare it... shame not to have found a discount on the receipt!
