The gnocchi stuffed with Gorgonzona were obviously packaged.
The bread was poor quality.
Everyone was smiling and helpful, but the ingredients were poor.
The price was moderately low.

I have to say that compared to the average 4.1 reviews, it definitely deserves a better rating, at least 4.5. There were six of us for dinner, and all the dishes were delicious: the first courses, the pizzas, and the sliced steak. The thin-crust pizzas, with their generous toppings, were especially delicious. We also spent about 20 euros each, so it was a good price.

In Gubbio, tradition and authenticity always leave those who dine satisfied. Il Bargello is no exception! It's a key location for attracting tourists, yet still caters to the most discerning palates. The restaurant is charming, with exposed arches. The young staff is well-trained, lively, and friendly. The offerings are interesting; a good, full menu for €15.00 is designed to appeal to hesitant tourists and even children. The menu offers just the right number of well-crafted local dishes at a reasonable price. I personally tried a very interesting mixed antipasto, fantastic gnocchi (a must-try), and a delicious sliced steak with caramelized onions. To round off the meal, a good bottle of Sagrantino and a cheese crème fraîche with honey and prosciutto. I shared all of this with my wife, plus a €15 menu for my son. Thoughtful desserts! The wine list emphasizes the region, as it should! Well done. Go, I'll be back!

I'd read they had excellent pizza, but it didn't go well for us. The "red" ones all had burnt edges, inedible. The rest of the pizza was average, nothing special. The dough was a bit strange, it didn't really taste like pizza.
Finally, if you don't ask for it, they won't issue a receipt... Like in many other restaurants. 🤷🏽♂️

We had dinner at this restaurant and were greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. It's a welcoming place, with good pizzas and fast service. The owners are always smiling and greet many customers with a smile and a chat. The atmosphere is lovely. While many other restaurants told us there was no room without worrying too much, they went out of their way to accommodate us without a reservation and let us eat (and they were also full). In short, I recommend it for many reasons, plus the excellent prices, which doesn't hurt. Thank you! I recommend it.

This was our second visit to this restaurant, and we were once again satisfied. If you're looking for a place in the center of Gubbio where you can eat simple yet carefully prepared dishes without long waits, this is the place. The staff is extremely quick and the prices are fair, making it a regular stop for us every time we're in town. A sure thing...
