We had a wonderful experience at I Fighi delle Stelle on Giudecca Island in Venice. The location is perfect: peaceful, beautiful, and away from the crowded tourist areas. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, which made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. We ordered the squid ink pasta and seafood pasta, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The seafood was fresh, the flavors were authentic, and everything was cooked perfectly. The overall quality of the food, service, and atmosphere was excellent. If you’re looking for a genuine and relaxing dining experience in Venice, this restaurant is highly recommended!!!

A fantastic restaurant right on the water with a view of the Doge's Palace and the clock tower. The food was excellent. I've never eaten such good prawns. The service was attentive and they even offered recommendations for fresh fish of the day or, for example, wine. My husband had the filet steak, and it was also very good. A seagull occasionally flies by, but they're unlikely to try and steal the food. However, it's a good idea to spray yourself with mosquito repellent beforehand.

UPDATE May 2026 This year, we were once again drawn to this restaurant with its magnificent view of Venice and super-friendly service. The dishes we ordered (see photos) – including the sea bass – were excellent; interesting wine list. UPDATE May 2025 We find the location and the view breathtaking every time we visit. The service is very friendly, quick, and attentive. We were satisfied with the food, except that the fish wasn't quite as fresh as on our last visit. UPDATE May 2024 The sea bass was cooked to perfection again this time (kudos: even some Italian restaurants in Germany can't manage that anymore!), however, the spaghetti busara had a bit too little fish – we've had better – but it was "Indian spicy," as requested – something the chefs in Venice don't usually do very well! August 2023: We had fond memories of the restaurant from before, but were initially a bit skeptical this year due to the somewhat mixed reviews. The concerns were unfounded: The Sarde in Saor appetizer was significantly better than the previous day at another restaurant, the grilled sea bass was cooked to perfection, the pasta dish was also excellent, and the interesting wine list was reasonably priced. The tables outside by the canal offer a magnificent view.

Everything was perfect. The service was incredible, the food delicious, and the view extraordinary. If you come to Venice, you absolutely must go to I figli delle stelle!!!
