This is a restaurant located in the historic center of Verona, where most of its clientele are Veronese, who come here for lunch in the middle of their working day. Its offer is therefore far from the many restaurants for tourists that swarm the area, and to my way of thinking, it makes it extremely attractive for a visitor like me, who in addition to knowing the classic tourist spots, he also likes to try to enjoy a little of the day-to-day life of the city. A €15 menu of local cuisine made with love, including two courses, bread and water, and a menu with reasonable prices, is one of Vecchia Fontanina's strong points. The waiters, Veronese from soca-rel (I asked them), professional, but at the same time super attentive and extremely close if you put your foot in them, is the other strong point. It is spectacular to see them moving at full speed, paying attention to everything, with a particular grace, which will be etched in my memory as one of the most beautiful memories I take with me from Verona. We went there for lunch with my wife and son, by chance, and we all left so delighted, that we did it again the next day. Too bad we live so far from Verona, as we will hardly be able to go back. By the way, if you feel like trying a dessert, I recommend the Catalan cream with black pepper and mint. A delicious reinterpretation of the traditional recipe that will blow your mind...

Simple restaurant in the center of Verona. we can only recommend it! we came last minute in 11 and we felt at home. Congratulations to Marco for the professionalism with which he served and welcomed us. Very nice! for the rest the menu is to be discovered. after the first I reordered another first and second course. Highly recommended! we will definitely return if we return to Verona!

If you are looking for a restaurant near the center of Verona, I can only recommend this little gem! The food was simply exceptional, with really generous portions that satisfied everyone. We opted for the fixed menu at €15, which included water, a first and second course: a really convenient option for those who want to enjoy quality dishes without spending too much. The waiter made the experience even more pleasant, with his friendly and joking attitude that immediately put us at ease. We cannot fail to mention the spritzes, served in beautifully filled glasses and at a truly competitive price. In short, an excellent culinary experience from every point of view!

I’m struggling to find words to describe the food here but… I came here TWICE in one day. Firstly I had the bigoli al ragu di cavallo as it’s a typical dish and it was phenomenal. I had the gnocchi for dinner as it was recommended by one of the waiters, and WOW. I’ve never tasted or experienced anything like it. The staff here are so lovely too. If you want to experience traditional and delicious Italian cuisine you have to come here! If I come back to Verona, this Osteria will be my first stop!!!

Great quality of their 15 euro menu. The risotto and pasta are very good. I have made the service poorer due to a couple of contemptuous waiters. Fortunately, a very kind woman helped us once we fled from the two ogres. Recommended if you are looking for a site with a good product at a reasonable price.

Risotto all'amarone da favola. Anche i secondi buoni. Propongono vari piatti tipici veronesi. Noi abbiamo mangiato all'aperto. Servizio non velocissimo. Il servizio può migliorare dal momento che il cameriere ci ha versato dell'acqua frizzante anziché naturale ed ha aspettato affinché dicessimo che ci andava bene quella. Ci tornerei comunque per la genuinità dei piatti.
