We've eaten at more than one Osteria in Verona, but this remains our favorite! Excellent food, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

From the cold outside, you enter this warm and welcoming restaurant, with the scent of truffles enveloping you. I highly recommend the Amarone risotto, so good it's hard to describe. The staff was also extremely courteous. The only downside was that, in the midst of our magical experience, a customer arrived and asked for the heat to be turned off, and the waiters obliged, ignoring the other guests who were already seated.

The risotto with Amarone and truffle is truly spectacular! The appetizer with polenta, gorgonzola, lard, and soppressa, as well as the crème caramel with black pepper and mint, are also excellent! We'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu!

Typical cuisine in a quaint restaurant. Two-course lunch menu (five dishes to choose from each) for €18, including water and cover charge. A small piece of Pandoro is served with coffee. Friendly service.

8 years ago I travelled solo through Europe and stumbled across Hostaria Vecchia Fontanina very early in an evening. Marco was having dinner with his staff but my presence didn't bother him, and ignoring my protests that I'd just come back later he sat me down and treated me like family. At the end of an amazing meal he refused to let me pay for the first portion of the meal I shared with him and his staff in exchange for bringing my wife back to Italy and bringing her here. Well it took 8 years but I brought her back tonight and the food, the atmosphere and the service were just as exceptional as I remembered. An incredibly special place in my heart and wonderful food and people.

16/11/2025: A good, well-priced hotel with a spa and pool (I must say, it's not heated enough, if I'm being honest), but overall a positive experience. Good dinner, generous breakfast (recommendation based on personal tastes: pancakes would be appreciated).

09/10/2025: We've been here several times and would love to come back. We used to come with a dog, now we come with two. The service is always very attentive, and the food is good. We always start with a free aperitif and finish with something sweet or a schnapps. We'd love to come back.
