I just had an incredible buffalo fillet. My wife had a fantastic Argentine fillet. Fillets can be boring, NOT HERE!!! Here they are, FANTASTIC. The entire menu is a delight. We had a smooth and delicious Barbera for only €24. The service is attentive and professional (Iris was wonderful and added to the experience). Vanda makes incredible desserts. We were here for lunch and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Read the full review; I've added more. This is a hidden gem. I kind of hope no other Americans find this place, or I'll never have a nice table overlooking Assisi again. I rate a lot of places, but this one is so good because the owner never sleeps; he's there 24/7, making sure everything is perfect. I've had lunch here a couple of times; it's the best deal in Umbria. I've had dinner here a couple of times with friends, and everyone has thanked me for the food and the experience. Excellent food, nice location, but portions not adequate for the price and very slow service.

Lunch for two. We ordered: an appetizer of potato and porcini mushroom tart paired with an egg with grated truffle, a first course of tagliatelle with white ragù, and a second course of pork fillet cooked at a low temperature with fried Cannara onion (a food well known in the area for being sweet, soft, and digestible), and I must absolutely confirm how good the latter was!! Excellent combinations, truly exquisite dishes and well-served. Kind and attentive service.
