Restaurant. We stopped in this restaurant while walking through the streets of the village, during a small holiday around the Langhe. In the square on the main street. Normal, welcoming, informal environment. The person who welcomed us was very courteous and willing to listen and advise. Good food, fair service, normal prices, two courses for 4, side dishes, water, bottle of Nebbiolo, coffee, 40 euros each.

It is a beautiful place in the center of Monforte that brings people together whether for breakfast, an aperitif or lunch. In addition, the room facilities are spectacular, always in the heart of the town with all the businesses and activities nearby.

My husband and I had the pleasure of having lunch at Grappolo d'Oro during our trip to the Langhe. We were really impressed by the quality of the food and the hospitality of the staff. We tasted the Fassona tartare with pistachio, the ravioli del plin and the tajarin with ragù, all exceptional dishes. The Piedmontese red wine we drank was also excellent. The service was very attentive and helpful. A nice and kind boy served us who immediately made us feel at home.

I love this place especially for its staff, everyone is kind and friendly. The coffee break with them is always a pleasant moment for me :)

Self Service La Porta del Roero

06/10/2024: A self service truly to be recommended. There is a wide possibility of firsts. Three plates. Lots of vegetables prepared with great taste, not just the usual boiled or grilled ones. The portions are still generous and served on ceramic plates as if you were in a starred restaurant. The menu includes water, breadsticks or bread and coffee. Truly a place to recommend for a lunch stop. It's a shame that it doesn't have its own bathroom and the one in the center isn't exactly the best and that there isn't Wi-Fi to be able to work before resuming the working afternoon. I would have also completed the two missing stars. But it's just a stimulus.

09/12/2024: Superb carpaccio with Gorgonzola cream and hazelnuts as part of the dinner (ravioli, bollito and desserts were good). Comfortable and spacious rooms for the night, with breathtaking view on monouso at the wake-up. Great choice and quality fir breakfast… very satisfied then, just be careful which road you take to get there… if google brings you on a dirt road in the wine yards, stop immediately and go back to asphalt… you will notice some instructions written on a white plate. Just read the rough instructions and follow the asphalt road.
28/11/2024: Celebrated birthday. The food is excellent and the service is exceptional. Managed with so much love.
