Granaro del Monte In Norcia

A top-quality restaurant, in a setting that has successfully revitalized a splendid area hit by the 2016 earthquake. Excellent menu options, including the signature black truffle! Excellent quality meats, perfectly cooked. Good dessert options. Extensive wine list.

My partner and I went to "Granaro del Monte" in Norcia to enjoy a Wonderbox—a gift voucher that included a tasting of local cured meats, which were simply exquisite. However, we wanted to complement this tasting with two courses and a side dish: a first course, a second course, and a portion of baked potatoes. For my first course, I chose tagliolini with black truffle, which were wonderful; my partner had a delicious meat-based second course. We thought the price of the tagliolini with truffle was a bit too expensive: €28.00 was more than the value of the tasting for two people (€24.90 for two glasses of wine and a platter of 4-5 types of local cured meats plus plain bread), and it was undoubtedly the most expensive first course I've ever eaten in my life! It was a unique experience, but I wouldn't order a black truffle first course in the future!

The restaurant is easy to reach, has a comfortable atmosphere with antique touches, large and small dining rooms, and the food is fantastic in its flavors and combinations. The staff is professional, extremely kind, and helpful, always attentive. A wonderful experience.

Amazing place! Everything is really good, especially the starters. Very nice owners, kind and friendly staff. Maybe the only thing that could be improved is the service, maybe a little too fast between courses (it happened that they brought us the second course while we were still finishing the first), but despite this small inaccuracy, everything was fine!

An exhilarating experience!!!!! Excellent hospitality. The location has a modern and medieval section (the latter my favorite), both bright and welcoming. The selection of products to taste is varied and the quality/price ratio is excellent. Highly recommended 👏👏👏

Delicious food, fast and friendly service. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous (at least for the entrees). The atmosphere is a mix between rustic and sophisticated.

This property is a gem in the Lesser Sila. The hotel is meticulously maintained, and the cabins are comfortable, clean, and offer breathtaking views. From the lobby, you can sense the owners' attention to detail and love of art. We had an excellent lunch and then took a walk through the Mabos, the forest museum, with Matteo, one of the owners, who made the experience even more beautiful.

Very beautiful and comfortable historic place, courteous and professional staff. Unfortunately, the food was neither good nor bad, except for the excellent rabbit cacciatore.

The pizza with Norcia ham was delicious. The tapestries were stunning.
