Today we had the pleasure of having lunch at this little pearl in the heart of Parma.
The environment is warm and welcoming, with furnishings that recall traditional taverns, characterized by soft lights, stone walls and a rustic touch that contribute to creating a family atmosphere.
The menu, which pays homage to the Parma culinary tradition, offers dishes rich in substance, tasty and with a perfect balance of flavours.
The service is friendly, attentive and never intrusive.
In conclusion, Il Gallo d'Oro confirms itself as the ideal place for those who want to rediscover the authentic flavors of Parma in an intimate and genuine context. A restaurant that combines quality, tradition and hospitality.
I highly recommend it, and if I were to be in the area again, I would definitely return!

Trattoria serving classic Parma (or Parma?) cuisine with a small outdoor area and a cozy atmosphere. Excellent food. Very kind service. Normal prices for the historic center of Parma.

We went yesterday to eat in this restaurant which was packed, we managed to get a table around 9.15pm (we hadn't booked). We had two pieces of fassona with toasted hazelnuts and Jerusalem artichokes which were very good, followed by a trio of tortelli with butter (really good especially the yellow ones with pumpkin) and then I took the roe deer on berry gel from the gourmet menu, this was good but they didn't tell me that the inside cooking was medium/bloody so honestly I left them to my boyfriend..
With a glass of wine and water we spent €80..
Menu not with a lot of choice.. I would go back for the first courses and starters.

Nettes Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung, gutes, geschmackvolles Essen zu sehr fairen Preisen und teils großen Portionen. Große Weinkarte.
Wir hatten Parmaschinken und Parmesan,
Tagliatelle mit Entenragout, Tortellini mit Kürbis sowie das Rinderfilet und das Tagliata. Alles war wirklich richtig gut.
Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Cibo ottimo, servizio super gentile e prezzo equilibrato. Tra l'altro ho chiesto un negroni e me lo hanno fatto benissimo! Super consigliato
Cucina tradizionale, troverete dalla torta fritta con salumi (discreta, un po’ spessa la pasta della torta), ai cappelletti (che in realtà sarebbero reggiani con un ripieno differente, ma qui li riempiono come gli anolini), ai tortelli di zucca (entrambi ottimi). Prezzi interessanti, un pasto di 3 portate viene a costare meno di 40€. Sono le porzioni che, però, lasciano a desiderare. Quasi da nouvelle cuisine dei tempi che furono. Il 4 è una media tra le porzioni e la qualità dei piatti.
