Gallo D'Oro In Parma

Amasing food and experience, the chef and the staff are super friendly and they take care of you. I would strongly sugvest to visit thisnplace when in Parma.

A good restaurant serving traditional Parmesan cuisine. We tried the torta fritta, accompanied by excellent culatta and the farmer's platter (featuring, among other cured meats, cracklings and cicciolata, the latter truly delicious); the tortelli di erbetta, cappelletti in brodo, and the vecchia di cavallo (horsemeat pie), all delicious.

I ate well, excellent quality cured meats and torta fritta, I also had the truffle risotto which was really very good.

Excellent place, good food, really knowledgeable and kind staff, I tried the vecchia di cavallo, really delicious, excellent the sbrisolona cake, dipped in zabaglione.

Beautiful, very welcoming place, especially the downstairs dining room. The waitresses were very kind and the service was perfect. We had a great meal, reasonably priced, and we'll definitely be back ♥️

A very busy and popular restaurant offering typical local dishes. Reservations are highly recommended, if not mandatory. The staff is very helpful and attentive despite the crowds. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. The dining room on the basement level is very charming.

A good idea for lunch with friends. Delicious egg appetizer; first courses: very good cappelletti with ragù; good cappelletti in broth; very delicate horsemeat tartare, the horsemeat wasn't very noticeable. Good vegetable side dishes. Very good crema catalana with vanilla ice cream. Fast service. Fair value.

Ero già stato qui l’anno scorso e ci sono tornato adesso per portarci alcuni amici, e per fortuna li ho lasciati soddisfatti: abbiamo preso un antipasto classico a base di salumi (prosciutto di Parma, lonza, salame) e “torta fritta”, che altrove chiamano “gnocco fritto” e poi tris di ravioli per alcuni di loro e cappelletti al ragù di strolghino (salame locale) per me. Nel complesso ho trovato conferma di quanto avevo percepito l’ultima volta: l’unica nota leggermente stonata sono stati proprio i miei cappelletti, non perché non fossero buoni ma perché li ho trovati un po’ troppo carichi di ragù, che sovrastava la pasta… ma ad aver reso il piatto pesante credo che abbia contribuito anche il fatto di averlo mangiato subito dopo un abbondante antipasto! In linea generale non posso dire di essere rimasto deluso, ma non mi sono sentito di dare un punto in più… ma ci tornerò senz’altro e continuerò a consigliarlo a chi è di passaggio a Parma.
