I can only describe the exterior because I worked outside but the place is simply wonderful immersed in the greenery and silence of an immaculate and wild Tuscany

I have been back to eat here several times, but this time the experience was particularly nice. The menu has some really good new dishes, the dishes we tried pleasantly surprised us. I liked the livers with glaze, the sea bass accompanied by mango leche. The fettuccine with squid ink and the Cinta Senese cheek literally melted in the mouth because it was so tender. The dishes chosen by my partner were also excellent, confirming the excellent cuisine, the service was also attentive, discreet and friendly, helping to make the experience even more pleasant. The price is in line with the quality of both the food and the environment: serene, well-kept and welcoming. A restaurant that manages to exceed expectations every time. Ps: The spa is also very beautiful!

All very nice. Also frequented by people from the entertainment world. Lots of hydromassage stations. The pool is hot 😞 unfortunately. The cooler hotel pools are better

Disappointing for a 5-star hotel – old, uncomfortable and in need of renovation The stay at this hotel was far from the standards one would expect from a 5-star property. The hotel is clearly dated, with old furnishings, and a general feeling of abandonment. It needs an urgent renovation, not just a superficial restyling. The staff is friendly and helpful, but unfortunately that is the only positive aspect. The mattress was completely sunken, the bed creaked at every slightest movement and there is not even a latex pillow or an alternative for those looking for a minimum of comfort. The room was really tiny: it is difficult to move around the bed. But the worst is the bathroom – very small, almost claustrophobic, with a shower so narrow that it is difficult to get in, let alone move comfortably. For a hotel that presents itself as 5 stars, it is a joke. The quality/price ratio is totally unbalanced. I do not recommend it and I would not return.

The location is really fantastic and offers all types of services. Truly a unique experience. For those who love to unplug and take some time for themselves and take care of their body and mind. Very good restaurant. Enchanting place immersed in a landscape with breathtaking views. Fantastic experience.

Shine with signs of wear Nestled in the rolling hills of the Val d'Orcia is the Fonteverde Lifestyle & Thermal Retreat, a former Medici palace from the 17th century that is now an elegant spa resort. You reach the hotel via a driveway that was once intended as a promise - large, representative, almost a little sophisticated. Today there is that fine veil of past greatness over it that you can feel rather than see. Our e-bikes discreetly disappeared into a luggage room - a service that seemed more pragmatic than charming. The room with a terrace seemed to be between two decades. The living area - decorated in cool white and gray tones - harmonized with the oak floor and conveyed a certain calm. The bathroom, on the other hand, looked as if it had stood its ground against every wave of renovation. The shower was a miss, and from the afternoon onwards the terrace remained a place for sun worshipers with heat tolerance - no sun protection was provided. The dinner in the in-house restaurant was remembered - unfortunately more as a study in missed opportunities. The service fluctuated between hectic and erratic routine, and some employees' uniforms appeared unflatteringly cut or worn - details that didn't quite fit the standards of a five-star hotel. From a culinary point of view, it remained pale, almost as if they didn't want to do anything wrong and achieved exactly that. The breakfast also failed to set any accents. The room was reminiscent of a canteen with ambition, the buffet was complete but unimaginative. And because the thermal baths are part of the house, you will also encounter guests in bathrobes in the morning - a sight that doesn't necessarily add to the atmosphere. Anyone hoping for a certain degree of exclusivity in this hotel because of the “Leading Hotels of the World” label is likely to be disillusioned.

Well-kept spa, there are few swimming pools in the non-club area. Had a very relaxing physiotherapy massage.

Location veramente bellissima e suggestiva, molto curata. Tutto il personale eccellente, gentilezza e servizio impeccabile il loro must. Complimenti! I piatti veramente unici e con sapori straordinari. Non capisco le recensioni negative, impossibile trovare di meglio, sia al mattino per la colazione, sia alla sera per la cena.
