I strongly recommend anyone to try this restaurant again and again to have a wonderful experience in contact with the culinary culture of Eritrea. The food is really excellent, the menu also offers options for vegetarians and vegans. The staff is very kind, in particular the owner is very helpful and passionate in explaining and recommending the dishes. The room is furnished in a very simple and essential way. I will definitely be back!

The family atmosphere of the place and the kindness of the owner make a very special dinner. I recommend the Friendship Plate to be able to taste multiple dishes (you need half a portion of each). Be careful, they fill up a lot. Pleasant surprise: a delicious cinnamon tea offered at the end of dinner which helped us digest.

Eritrea is the key word. If you want to taste real Eritrean cuisine this is the right place. Friendship dish and let the owner advise you. A place not to be missed!

Ogni volta mangiare da Carlo al dahlak è un esperienza unica, si può magiare con le mani oppure con le posate piatti deliziosi Consiglio in particolare gli Sfilacci di bufalo e la cremo di ceci detta Shiró!

Interesting experience in this Eritrean restaurant in Padua. We knew nothing about Eritrean cuisine. The chef recommended the dish to share and it turned out to be a remarkable discovery. Very particular ostrich meat. As per Eritrean culture, we ate with our hands. Too bad we couldn't try the beer. Recommended for anyone who wants to travel while staying in their own city.

A restaurant that has the charm of a local trattoria. The owner is very welcoming; he greeted us with great respect and recommended dishes based on our preferences. I was there with friends, and he suggested we order the 'Friendship Plate' so we could try a variety of dishes. We ate very well, definitely a place to recommend.

The smell as soon as you enter makes you travel with your mind, in that beautiful Africa so praised by the owner, kind and warm with eyes full of that joy that pervades you and convinces you to take that long-awaited journey. And then the food arrives and you reach the destination ♥️ highly recommended ♥️

09/01/2025: Nice place near the centre. Very good Roman dough pizza with high quality ingredients. Desserts too elaborate for my taste but my "lost bread", truly excellent. Waiters trained and very kind. Two flaws, one solvable.....a placemat, even paper, on the table. The other was the decidedly high price for a couple of pizzas and a dessert. So keep families away!
02/01/2025: We stood for more than an hour to get in...) To be honest, I didn’t quite understand what was so outstanding here... Noisy, cramped... The menu is only in Italian... But the prices are not too bad... They bring everything relatively quickly... The kitchen itself...well...is also ok...everything is simple, authentic... Of the dishes we took, I can recommend their osso buco - I liked the thing... And, yes, the coffee is, of course, great...) Positive, in the end - Limancello "at the expense of the establishment")
