We came here for an ombré & cichetti (wine and tapas) and it was delicious in a lovely atmosphere. Despite its central location, it was quiet and not too crowded with tourists. I recommend stopping by!

Delicious and abundant aperitif. By notifying me a day in advance they prepared the cicchetti for me with gluten-free bread. Very attentive and kind staff :)

Cute place tucked away from the crowd. We started with sardines and polenta, followed by spaghetti clams and gnocchi duck ragu. Very tasty food. Great value. Highly recommend.

The food was excellent but the whole experience was average at best. We were in a back room with no windows on our own, the service was very slow. There was an atmosphere and buzz around the front of the restaurant but this didn’t reach the back room unfortunately.

Restaurant no.6 of my 11 restaurant extravaganza in Venice Enoteca Al Volto, situated 2 minutes from Rialto water bus has been serving traditional Venetian fare since 1936.
It has a quaint and rustic feel inside, cabinets full of Cicchetti by the entrance really get the mouth salivating, I was here for some traditional and local food.
Bread served in a paper bag was provided, a glass of local Chardonnay wet the lips and before long, the start arrived, Sardines en Saor with Polenta.
This is an unusual dish, the Saor element being onions cooked with vinegar, pine nuts and raisins, the Sardines lightly fried until crisp the soft polenta adding some ‘body’, it was strangely delicious.
For mains, something I had been meaning to try for a while, Spaghetti Vongole (clams). When it arrived, wow, it was brimming with the little shell fish.
In the UK, these kinds of dishes are not so generous shell fish wise, they are expensive. The Lagoon of Venice is providing quality and quantity, it was also delicious.
A simple local lunch, unfussy service another 10/10, thank-you for being delightful and providing such beautiful food, drink and service.
