The food at Don Lisander is truly delicious! The osso buco was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The service was also very good, attentive and professional. However, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the ambiance. While the restaurant has a nice setting, the decor could use some improvement to match the quality of the food and service. A more refined atmosphere would elevate the dining experience even further. Overall, a great spot for classic Milanese cuisine!

Elegant environment, very attentive and kind staff. Truly recommended for both tourists and the Milanese DOCG.

They recommend two glasses of Sardinian Vermentino as an aperitif. And from here we start to be happy. A Vermentino so aromatic in scent, but at the same time dry, mineral and so persistent... is rarely found.
Mondeghili: the rumors heard were true. Tasty, tender. Magnificent
With the selection of cheeses we go further up into the paradise of pleasure. Wonderful, from the lightest to the blue one. Explosive. The jams, alone or in combination, are also notable.
Bean soup with bacon and croutons. A wise poem. Great.
Last but not least
His Majesty the Braised Veal Cheek, and the Emperor Ossobuco with his risotto.
Again, I don't know where to start. My aunt's one can't be beaten, but this osso buco... The reduction... The risotto...

Bel ristorante a due passi dal duomo nel quadrilatero della moda. Locale molto grande, curato e accogliente. Servizio ottimo. Risotto alla milanese con ossobuco molto buono. Ampia scelta di vino al calice. A pranzo pienissimo. Vorrei tornare la sera o d'estate all'aperto.

Da alcune settimane il ristorante propone, anche in vendita da asporto, la nuova Torta Provvidenza.
In effetti si tratta di una rivisitazione in chiave moderna della antica "carsenza", un dolce povero dei secoli scorsi, fatto con il pane avanzato ammollato nel latte cui erano aggiunti zucchero e frutta secca (a volte anche fresca) avanzata dal pranzo di Natale, il tutto cotto al forno. Si mangiava tipicamente a Capodanno e ne erano ghiotti Alessandro Manzoni e la prima moglie Enrichetta.
Ora rivive e viene venduta in una scatola con l'effige di Manzoni, che i milanesi chiamavano affettuosamente Don Lisander.
Una nuova torta di Milano, oltre al panettone?
Noi ne abbiamo comperata una sabato scorso e mangiata assieme ad amici, accompagnandola con una pallina di gelato alla crema: ottima! Ne abbiamo già prenotata un'altra per Natale.
