Chef Mirko, a real character, offers a menu with different variations. Here you can caress tradition with soup or tripe Volterra style, real delicacies. The fantastic platters of cold cuts and cheeses, pici in all sauces... until you get to the undisputed queen... meat... slices, fillets, with mushrooms, truffles, flakes of parmesan and so on... pizza... and also a cuisine that is attentive to celiac disease, even gluten-free is to be praised... But let's get to the point... today my partner and I set off on purpose for a real culinary binge of fish and rice and vegetables... in a few words a magical paella... what can I say, first it kidnapped us and bewitched our eyes then it made us dream with the taste... we can only thank the chef and all his magnificent staff for this culinary journey that from Valencia, made us touch Madrid with a finger, fly on the Rambla in Barcelona, to finally bring us back to Volterra truly satisfied and contented... thank you from the bottom of my heart... I recommend you all to try the Don Beta...it's worth it...

Excellent food in a very central location at very reasonable prices. We had salmon tartare to start, very nice indeed. We also lasagne ( delicious, loads of flavour) and I had the salmon avongole carbonara, which was honestly the best gluten free carbonara I've had anywhere! A definite 'must try' if you are in the very beautiful area around Volterra. They have various gluten free options including pasta and gnocchi.

We were in Volterra and we decided to eat here a bit by chance, we really liked the "mixed" platter. I then had the pici with white Cinta Senese ragù, very good! The garlic ones were also appreciated.
We also liked the desserts, we had the strawberry panna cotta and the tiramisu.
Prices a little high, but understandable given that the area is touristy.

Sono capitata qui per caso, una domenica a pranzo. Ho trovato cordialita del personale, celerità nel servizio (nonostante il locale fosse pieno), un menù molto ampio e un rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo.
Ho mangiato la carne (molto buona) ma ho visto passare anche dei primi piatti (soprattutto pici) da leccarsi i baffi.
Ci tornerò e lo consiglio!

Cenamos en este restaurante un martes por la noche en invierno - no había muchas opciones en este momento. La comida era bastante buena - pizza margherita, risotto al funghi porcini y lasaña. Simplemente sentimos que era bastante caro para lo que tenemos!
