We were in Volterra looking for a restaurant that also serves pizza and found Don Beta. The atmosphere was really nice... someone must have been very creative with the decor. The only thing that could have been improved upon was a small door or something similar in front of the small storage room. There were a lot of locals here, which was one of the reasons we decided to eat here. The food was really good! The pasta was amazing and we were given bread with local olive oil beforehand, which was really aromatic! The service was very good and the staff were really nice. There were four of us here, and we had three pizzas, a pasta dish, a bottle of water, a glass of wine, two sodas, a Coke and two espressos. We paid 76 euros, which is really reasonable for a touristy place like this. We highly recommend it!

We had dinner for two on May 31st. Good quality food, the wild boar Maremma style was well cooked, tender and with a good seasoning, served with polenta. The pici with white ragù of Cinta Senese were excellent. Fast service, good price considering it is in the center of Volterra. Very friendly staff.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Warm and friendly staff, excellent wine, and the best homemade pasta I’ve ever had. Traditional Tuscan cuisine with a creative touch. Highly recommended!

Locale accogliente nel cuore della Volterra medievale...gentilezza pulizia e professionalità sono le colonne su cui il don beta poggia le sue basi... Lo chef Mirko , un vero personaggio, propone un menù con diverse varianti. Qui si può accarezzare la tradizione con la zuppa o la trippa alla volterrana , vere leccornie.I fantastici taglieri di affettati e formaggi, i pici in tutte le salse.. fino ad arrivare alla regina incontrastata ...la carne ... tagliate ,filetti ,con funghi, tartufo , scaglie di grana e così via ... pizza ....e anche una cucina attenta anche alla celiachia, anche il glutenfree è da elogiare...Ma veniamo al dunque...oggi io e la mia compagna siamo partiti apposta per una vera abbuffata culinaria di pesce e riso e verdura ...in poche parole una magica paella.... che dire prima ci ha rapito e stregato gli occhi poi ci ha fatto sognare con il gusto ...non possiamo che ringraziare lo chef e tutto il suo magnifico staff per questo viaggio culinario che da valencia, ci ha fatto toccare Madrid con un dito , volare sulla rambla a Barcellona ,per riportarci infine a Volterra veramente appagati e soddisfatti ...grazie di cuore ...consiglio a voi tutti di provare il Don Beta...ne vale la pena ...

Cenamos en este restaurante un martes por la noche en invierno - no había muchas opciones en este momento. La comida era bastante buena - pizza margherita, risotto al funghi porcini y lasaña. Simplemente sentimos que era bastante caro para lo que tenemos!
