Great food and very friendly staff

We stumbled upon this restaurant on the way to Verona by chance, a real discovery! We didn't think the food would be so good and don't be fooled by the outside. Dishes and raw materials of the highest quality, attentive and professional service. Prices slightly above average but justified by the excellent experience. Super recommended 😉

Da Sandro al Navile is one of the most famous trattorias in Bologna. Spacious and welcoming environment, friendly and helpful staff. On this occasion I wanted to taste a truly tasteless "mortadella flan" and then a "veal parcel" in truffle sauce: a cold serving dish, the veal parcel, with mozzarella inside, was not lukewarm but cold and the veal meat is very "resistant" to the knife blade, a dish without flavor despite microscopic mini slices of truffle. One of my companions (not from Bologna) wanted to order tortellini in broth which was offered with the variant: they put parmesan cheese on the bottom of the plate. Which surprised me, in almost eighty years I had never heard of parmesan being placed on the bottom of the serving dish of tortellino in broth, a "variant" not to be offered in Bologna, the undisputed capital of tortellino.

Amazing place. Felt as though we were the only tourists there. Service impeccable, food is traditional and made with love. Would definitely come again.

The Romagnola-style squeezes are excellent, a mixed boiled meat speciality. Good Bolognese cutlet, I would have added less parmesan cream. Good service without too much waiting time.

Siamo tornati a cena dopo un po’ di tempo e devo dire che la qualità del cibo è sempre molto buona. Camerieri cortesi e professionali, cordialità da parte di tutti ma soprattutto una cucina sempre di alto livello
