Da Rossella In Carsoli

Rossella keeps her promise! I've been wanting to try this restaurant in Tufo, near Carsoli, for at least two years. It has changed the face of Abruzzo's restaurant scene. Despite being open for several years, I only recently heard about it, and every time I called, there were no seats available. For a while, they managed to keep it a "secret," but then, little by little, word spread, and word of mouth spread the dream of these immense, outsized, and exceptional ravioli. We managed to get there on a Monday in October for lunch, and in addition to the famous ravioli, we also tried a fresh pasta dish with porcini mushrooms and truffles, the memory of which still delights me. The French fries are REAL, enough to light a candle to the Madonna. The service is prompt; sure, you might have to wait a bit, but the wait is worth it. The prices are more than fair, and that's a bonus! My only complaint, a matter of personal preference, is that the tomato sauce is a bit too smooth; I prefer a more rustic, full-bodied texture. However, this in no way detracts from the satisfaction of eating at Rossella's. Lunch also included the spectacle of watching the food being eaten at the tables around us. Good heavens, I've rarely seen people manage to gorge on such quantities of food. It felt like we were back in the fabulous '70s. My compliments to this wonderful business, carried out with passion and undoubtedly a lot of hard work! Thank you

Excellent home cooking, just the way I like it. Be careful when ordering the ravioli, because one portion can feed three people. 😂😂😂 I'm not exaggerating. The ingredients are excellent.

What's most striking is the generous portions, so much so that they seem accustomed to requests for takeaways or half portions. Some special dishes on the menu require advance ordering, which makes you want to return for more. The service is casual but quite effective. The setting is a renovated farmhouse, a single, large space combining traditional elements with others with a distinctive, yet certainly not bland, flavor. Sounds get lost in the high-ceilinged space, and it's easy to communicate with your fellow diners. The starters and dessert were good, but the house wine, a Montepulciano, was a bit tart. We'll be back!

I finally tried Rossella's ravioli. Not only were they huge, but they were also delicious, with an excellent filling. The meat, lamb, and sausages were also good, as were the side dishes. The service was courteous and attentive.

If you are not a piranha you can take a half portion of the first course, it is good for two who want to eat all the courses until dessert, everything is excellent, even the lochescion

Too much spoils the dish. The pasta portions are excessive. The maccheronacci are too large and impossible to combine with the ragù. With mutton, you make arrosticini or alla cuttore, NOT with ragù; tradition dictates that "MUSHROOM" should be cooked with ragù. Arristicini are cooked on a special grill, NOT on the grill; the reason is that the logs burn and you have to eat the burnt logs too. The lamb chop is made with the chops, NOT THE SHOULDERS, and they shouldn't be excessively thin and dry like cork. With lamb, you make: Neck, shoulders, cacciatore style or ragù, roast leg, better if boned with herbs, chops or chops, or breaded. Hello friends.

Sono anni che frequento questo ristorante e ne esco sempre soddisfatta. Nuovo locale bello ed accogliente, personale disponibile e gentile, cibo ottimo, famosi i ravioli si 350 grammi l'uno ma anche il resto non è da meno. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo Se passate da quelle parti prenotate e non ve ne pentirete
