The restaurant is modern inside, but in my opinion, it clashes with the flowery dishes and other slightly "outdated" elements that clashed with the overall modern feel it was probably intended to convey. The steak was excellent, perhaps even better. The appetizer featured very poor-quality cheeses and a tomato soup that seemed pre-cooked; I don't know how to explain it; it was artificial in some way. For dessert, the tart was good, but the Prato biscuits were terrible, made with something resembling candied fruit; only two had almonds. I find this unfortunate coincidence with many places that boast of modernity, yet try to present traditional cantucci in a whimsical way, with terrible results. You could order the 3-kg bag from MARR and you'd make a better impression. The service, especially considering it was a Saturday night, was staffed by young and very young people, and perhaps one or two slightly older waiters who knew their job. Overall it didn't make a good impression on me.

A typical Tuscan restaurant, very welcoming, very kind and helpful staff, very good food, interesting prices... we went for lunch and we were very happy... the only problem was the parking... all in all I recommend it, it's really worth it... congratulations, we will definitely be back

I went to this restaurant on January 3rd. I wanted to let the owner know that after his experience with Fiorentina, he's been causing me a real problem with the meat I usually eat here in Lombardy. Since I ate yours, I can't taste it anymore! Not even the ones you get at the butcher's for €35 per kg, which is outrageous... Neither my partner nor I have ever eaten meat this good, and it annoys me, because now when I want to eat meat, it costs me 350km and highway fare, but it's worth the trip... congratulations!

We ate three fabulous platters: three 4,800 kg steaks, one very tasty, the side dish was fried artichokes that melted in your mouth, not to mention the dessert, the price in my opinion was not excessive for the dishes and the quality.

I've never had a better Florentine steak.
Frankly, the price was even too low for the quality of the food we ate.

We chose this restaurant on a beautiful Sunday in November, inspired by the numerous positive reviews, and I must say we were completely satisfied!
We sat in the second room, more modern and welcoming than the entrance, and immediately appreciated the elegant yet unpretentious atmosphere and the kindness of the staff.
Pappardelle with wild boar ragù, fried porcini mushrooms, a delicious roasted porcini mushroom cap, and the inevitable steak! A good red wine accompanied it, and a cream-filled millefeuille for dessert.
What can I say... it was an absolutely satisfying lunch. We waited a bit for the meat, probably because the place was crowded, but it was absolutely worth it: quality produce, cooked properly, and beautifully presented... Excellent!
The pappardelle with wild boar thrilled the kids, and the mushrooms were the icing on the cake of a lunch that simply leaves you wanting more.
Considering the quality of the product, the bill seemed fair for what we ordered.
Parking might be a bit difficult along the road that runs through this small corner of Nievole; I'd recommend arriving 10 minutes before rush hour.
Otherwise, "Il Pellegrino" keeps all its promises and offers customers a totally positive experience! Top marks!

The priority was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The atmosphere was clean and the service was friendly.
The wine markups were more than fair, and the manager certainly deserves praise for that.
Unfortunately, the steak was disappointing in quality—tasteless and bland—and in its cooking, with one side overcooked and the other perfectly cooked.
I also didn't like the fried artichokes.
I must admit, however, that the owner would have
without hesitation cooked me another steak when he noticed my dissatisfaction.
I promised myself I'd make a second visit in the near future, also to try different dishes I'd seen at other tables and give the legendary steak a second and final chance.
