Just finished a lovely meal at Da Odino. We had a short layover at Marco Polo - not enough time to make it in and out of Venice - and we really wanted a good meal. Luckily, we found Da Odino. Most important is always the food, and it was exactly what we wanted…delicious Italian lunch, with pasta, seafood and meat. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal on such a tight schedule, only 15-20 min from Venice airport. It’s worth mentioning how incredibly kind and accommodating the staff at Da Odino is. We arrived just when the kitchen was closing and Barbara put our order in while we drove in the taxi. Perfect start to our trip. Thanks, Barbara and everyone at Da Odino.

We went to celebrate Christmas. The location, as always, is beautiful and welcoming, but this time the overall experience was decidedly disappointing. For four courses, we waited about an hour and a half between each one. The excessive wait made us both hungry and unwilling to stay. Furthermore, the place was extremely crowded, and the stifling heat made the atmosphere uncomfortable. The dishes were small in portions and lacked flavor, far below expectations. I observed unprofessional behavior from some of the staff. In particular, one gentleman was overly pushy with a 15-year-old girl in our group, who felt uncomfortable several times. Furthermore, when I asked a waitress for water, I was abruptly told that she "wasn't in charge of the water," as if I should already know. I'm sorry to see that Odin isn't what it used to be. I hope you can take these aspects into consideration to improve your customers' experience.

QUALITY AND TRADITION...the restaurant is located on the main road from Treviso to the sea, close to the highway exit. The restaurant has a large front yard with a well-kept park. Inside, there are two rooms seating approximately 200 people, the main one a reproduction of a typical Venetian lagoon farmhouse. For our appetizer, we had the warm Venetian fish, and honestly, without taking anything away from the truly high quality of the fish, I would have expected a more varied dish, so I recommend it as part of a full dinner. For our first course, the owner recommended the RISOTTO CON I GO (a typical small fish from the Venetian lagoon). EXCEPTIONAL, A MUST-TRY, it was our favorite dish. For our second course, again from the Venetian tradition, we had the Vicenza-style cod with polenta and the bosega with potatoes and pumpkin, both excellent. To finish, the homemade panettone with cream (a must try) and a very thirst-quenching pear sorbet. The restaurant offers a wine list, and we appreciated the recommended wine. The menu is strictly faithful to traditional Venetian cuisine, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The service was attentive and competent. Price paid €162.
