Returning to this restaurant in the Sardinian capital is always a pleasure. A place that's a guarantee, masterfully combining the island's culinary tradition with a refined vein of innovation.
Among the dishes I've tasted, the durum wheat gnocchi with pecorino fondue and black pepper stand out: a perfect balance of bold flavors and delicacy. The second course was also excellent: fish fillet in a crazy water sauce with eggplant and mussels, original and surprisingly harmonious.
Compliments to the chef and all the staff. Truly excellent!

Book your reservation in advance, then settle in for an evening of pleasure. Marino and the staff are top of their class. Have a question? They will answer it for you. Forgot your glasses? Marino will appear bearing a small handmade box with a selection of different strengths for you to use. The teams attention to detail is a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is very comfortable lending itself to an intimate setting for friends, family and couples. The food dishes will be beautifully presented, taste amazing and if you are the type to photograph your food then it will be difficult to resist doing so.

We had a wonderful dinner celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary. The service was welcoming and precise. The dishes were presented beautifully and brimming with flavor. The highlights for us were the tartare of tuna with straciatella cheese and truffle, and the pecorino flan - very different and unlike anything we’ve enjoyed in the past. The pastas were incredibly fresh and the fish was very memorable as well. We hope to return soon.

I’ve eaten almost all over the world, and this restaurant ranks as one of the best! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The staff take the time to explain and guide you through the menu, so any questions are answered with care. The amuse-bouche was spectacular, and I also enjoyed a delicious limoncello. I tried the sabayone, which usually comes with fruit, but since I live outside Italy, I always look for a great sabayone and requested it plain—and it was absolutely spectacular. The atmosphere is sophisticated and elegant, even on a day when it was a bit warm. If you’re in Cagliari, this restaurant is a must-visit. The only “negative” is that there’s no private parking, but it doesn’t affect the experience at all.

The warm welcome is immediately apparent upon entry, greeted by Marino himself.
The menu offers an excellent selection of raw seafood tartare, as well as meat dishes. The menu is simple (a guarantee of the quality of the ingredients) but offers a wide range of choices, from appetizers to main courses, including first courses, and a list of chef's suggestions.
The wine list is well-chosen, featuring excellent regional and national wines, as well as a good selection of French sparkling wines.
Chef Silvana's expertise in the kitchen is confirmed when, after enjoying your meal, the desserts arrive, a triumph of flavor and delicacy.
Going to Marino at St. Remy isn't just about dining in a charming atmosphere, but the added value is feeling pampered from start to finish, in a refined setting. Crafting fine dining is a rare skill. We had the pleasure of dining at Marino's St. Remy during our Cagliari vacation, and we can confirm that the excellent reviews are more than justified.
It was an amazing culinary experience, with a dinner meticulously prepared and truly out of this world.
The impeccable service was made even more special by a very kind waitress who attentively attended to us. She proved not only professional but also incredibly knowledgeable, passionately explaining to us, at our request, the difference between pane carasau and pane guttiau, even revealing the origin of the term.
A special mention certainly goes to the truffle parcels, served and presented beautifully, with fresh truffles grated right before our eyes.
The only two small points I would make concern the lack of good bread and breadsticks worthy of the rest of the menu, a detail that, for a restaurant of this caliber, we would have expected differently. We also had the impression that the host was rarely present, paying us less attention than the other diners, perhaps due to his age. Despite this, the bill was paid without batting an eyelid, proving that the quality of the food and service more than met our expectations.
Overall, it was an unforgettable evening and an experience we recommend to everyone.
