We've been coming here for several years and always enjoy the food. This year, unfortunately, the calzone was completely burnt, which they tried to cover up with tomato sauce. While they did take the calzone back, there was no apology.
The service was generally poor this time (longer wait times, mediocre friendliness), but the rest of the food was as good as usual. Since the atmosphere is also important to us, we probably won't be coming back.

We sat down while the restaurant was fully packed and we ordered pizzas (we didn't wait for too long). Pizzas were good, I ordered daviola pizza and it was very stacked with meat, I liked it.

The tent-like dining room is romantic, but it's best to bring a light jacket in the evening. There's a roof, which you can close when it gets colder.
But enough about that: it's all about the food:
Stunning. We ordered two appetizer platters: one with canestrelli, cappelunghi, and cappesanti, and one with octopus and potatoes, squid with arugula, and one with large shrimp in radicchio dressing. All were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection.
I confess to eating the last bits of salad from the garnish to take home the incredibly delicious marinades and sauces...sigh.
Then it was time for pizza. Locals say this is where some of the best pizzas in Grado are made.
I, of course, had the pizza frutti di mare. Large, with a beautiful crust, generously topped, even a mountain of mussels. All the seafood was noticeably fresh.
The others in the group had Capriciosa, Quattro Formaggi and Rucola, Crudo and Burrata. Each pizza was perfectly balanced in flavor, harmonious and diverse. Nothing burnt, nothing raw. Perfect. There was even a free salami pizza for the children.
The wine to accompany it: house red. Very drinkable, certainly not an operatic experience, but refreshing nonetheless with well-balanced notes. The finish was particularly impressive with its nostalgic notes of wild berries and coffee.
For dessert, I had a creation with lemon mousse...and with hand-picked berries, crispy ginger pastry, and a coulis made from exceptionally delicious fruit. I have dined in Michelin-starred restaurants on occasion, and this dessert is worthy of a star; the contrasting elements blend seamlessly into the overall composition, alongside the more harmonious elements.
To put it simply: I found it extremely difficult to resist distracting myself from the toilet bowl... The girls there were incredibly friendly and anticipated our every need.
The restroom is clean and well-maintained.
Highly recommended.
For 9 guests, we paid a total of €280, which included plenty of wine and water, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Ristorante Pizzeria Da Luciano is a good place to eat. The portions are generous, and the cappellunghe were really good. There's plenty of space for outdoor seating, which is especially convenient when the weather is nice. The prices are slightly lower than average, and the staff was friendly. Overall, a good experience.

The food was very good. But the service, except for one gentleman, really didn't impress, which is a shame. Otherwise the rating could have been much better.
